The WD MyPassport SSD keeps up to 2TB of your data safe on the go from RM599

You can never have enough backups of your data is an adage that holds true today and having your most important stuff securely backed up to an offline, portable backup makes for a reassuring insurance policy which is why WD has issued their MyPassport SSDs in Malaysia.

The WS MyPassPort SSD is about the size of a chunky candy bar and uses NVME drives in your choice of 500GB, 1TB and 2TB capacities with 1050MB/s read speeds and up to 1,000MB/s write speeds. The drives are shock and vibration resistant as well as drop resistant to 6.5-feet, which combined with their compact size makes them ideal for toting around with you on the go.

In Malaysia, the drives are now available on Lazada and Shopee as well as selected retailers like Viewnet and Sri Computers with the 500GB retailing for RM599 and the 1TB for RM1,069 and the 2TB for RM1,999. While the drives come in a variety of colours, WD is only shipping in the gray variant for all capacities with the other different colours coming in later this year.
