Xiaomi 11T series, Pad 5 tablet and 11 Lite 5G NE launched in Malaysia
Fresh off their global launch, Xiaomi has launched their latest 11T series phones dubbed the Xiaomi 11T Pro, Xiaomi 11T and their first tablet in aeons dubbed the Pad 5. They’ve also launched a midrange phone dubbed the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE for the Malaysia market.
In terms of availability, the Xiaomi 11T Pro and 11T will be available from October 2nd in Malaysia while the 11 Lite 5G NE and Pad 5 are available from 24th September. Check out their official stores on Lazada and Shopee to acquire their new devices.
Xiaomi 11T and 11T Pro

Taking centrestage for their Malaysia line-up, the XIaomi 11T Pro is the brand’s most sophisticated phone in the market to date. They’ve shoehorned a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, stereo speakers tuned by Harman Kardon, a Snapdragon 888 processor, 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage as well as a huge 5,000mAh battery with 120W HyperCharge fast charging into a svelte chassis.
They’ve even bundled in the necessary 120W charger too to take full advantage of its fast charging capabilities. The rear triple camera is powerful indeed with a primary 108MP F/1.75 camera capable of 8K video capture, a secondary 8MP ultra wide angle camera and a 5MP telemacro camera.
The more affordable Xiaomi 11T has a similar 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate as the more premium 11T Pro but uses a more modest Dimensity 1200-Ultra processor with 8GB RAM, either 128GB or 256GB of storage and a similar camera array as the 11T Pro but with video capture capped at 4K. Charging speed has also been dialled down to 67W charging.
The Xiaomi 11T with 8GB RAM/128GB storage retails for RM1,699 while the 8GB RAM/256GB storage version retails for RM1,899. In the case of the Xiaomi 11T Pro, the 8GB RAM/256GB version retails for RM2,099 while the top of the line variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage costs RM2,299. Both the Xiaomi 11T and 11T Pro can be acquired in three colourways – Meteorite Gray, Moonlight White and Celestial Blue.
Xiaomi Pad 5
The most unusual item at the launch, the Xiaomi Pad 5 tablet is their first tablet in ages with two storage configurations and two colourways dubbed Cosmic Gray and Pearl White for Malaysia. You get an 11-inch WQHD+ 120Hz display with Dolby Vision and DCI-P3 colour gamut support, a Snapdragon 860 processor and either 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage for RM1,399 or a higher end version with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage for RM1,599.
Regardless, both versions pack quad speakers, a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera and a large 8,720mAh battery. The Xiaomi Pad 5 is also compatible with what they call a Smart Pen stylus but this is an optional purchase.
The Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE
The The Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE is the cheapest and lightest phone out of the lot, weighing just 158g while being just 6.81mm thin. While it’s light, it doesn’t skimp on the hardware and it’s surprisingly well equipped as midrange phones go with a 6.55-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and both DOlby VIsion and HDR10+ support.
This is backed up by a Snapdragon 778G CPU with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage and the phone even features stereo speakers. For imaging duties, the phone has a rear triple camera (64MP + 8MP ultra wide angle + 5MP telemacro) while the front sports a 20MP selfie camera.
In terms of pricing, the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE features three storage variants. The 6GB RAM/128GB retails for RM1,699, the 8GB RAM/128GB version for RM2,099 and the highest end version with 8GB RAM /256GB storage for RM1,899. All three storage variants come in your choice of Meteorite Gray, Moonlight White, Celestial Blue and Snowflake White.
