Xiaomi 13 Pro and Xiaomi 13 now available for preorder in Malaysia
Fresh off its latest global debut at MWC 2023 and its launch in China, Xiaomi Malaysia is announcing that their latest flagship phone the Xiaomi 13 Pro and its mainline sibling the Xiaomi 13 are now available for preorders in Malaysia.

What is the Xiaomi 13 Pro

The top of the line Xiaomi 13 Pro is their flagship phone designed to go toe to toe with the likes of other super flagship phones. The Xiaomi 13 Pro features a large 6.73-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and WQHD+ (1,440 x 3,220 pixels) resolution as well as HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support protected by a slab of Gorilla Glass Victus glass.
Under the hood, the Xiaomi 13 Pro is powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 3.2GHz processor running the latest Android 13 overlaid with their own MIUI 14 overlay and the phone is also WiFi 7 ready. For Malaysia, the phone comes with up to 12GB RAM and either 256GB or 512GB of non-expandable storage.
On the rear, the phone features a triple camera array created in collaboration with Leica that features a 50MP F/1.9 primary camera that a uses a Sony IMX989 sensor, a 50MP F/2.0 camera with 3.2x optical zoom and a 50MP F/2.2 ultrawide angle camera with the ability to capture up to 8K@24fps video.
Up front, the phone packs a 32MP selfie camera capable of up to 1080p@30fps video. Keeping it powered is a 4,820mAh battery with fast 120W wired charging, 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging. Of note is that th camera also supports 10-bit RAW capture.

The phone is also rated for IP68 dust and water resistance and features two colourways for Malaysia which are Ceramic Black and Ceramic White for both 256GB and 512GB configurations as well as what Xiaomi refers to as a Bio-Ceramic finish.
What is the Xiaomi 13?
The Xiaomi 13 is powered by the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor as the Xiaomi 13 Pro but has a slightly smaller 6.36-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and FHD+ (1080 x 2,400 pixels) resolution sheathed in Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Like the Xiaomi 13 Pro, the phone also features their MIUI 14 overlay, is WiFi7 ready and for Malaysia, features 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage.
The rear of the phone features a slightly different triple camera array with a 50MP F/1.9 primary camera, a 10MP F/2.0 telephoto camera with 3.2x optical zoom and a 12MP F/2.2 ultrawide angle camera with the ability to capture up to 8K@24fps video.
The front selfie camera is a similar setup as the Xiaomi 13 Pro with a 32MP sensor and the ability to take up to 1080p@30fps video. Keeping it powered is a 4,500mAh battery with 67W wired charging which is a bit slower than the Xiaomi 13 Pro but is nonetheless respectably fast. This is paired with 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging.
Like its higher-end sibling, the phone has IP68 water and dust resistance with your choice of Black, White and Flora Green colourways.
How much is the Xiaomi 13 Pro and Xiaomi 13 in Malaysia?
In terms of pricing, the Xiaomi 13 Pro with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage will retail as a special preorder package for RM5,999 in Malaysia and will have a bunch of free gifts worth a collective RM7,469 that consist of a Xiaomi Watch S1 Pro, a Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro, a Xiaomi 33W PowerBank and a 10,000mAh Pocket Edition Pro.
The Xiaomi 13 Pro with 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage will retail for RM4,599 and will have an RM799 e-voucher when you acquire it from Lazada or Shopee during the preorder period that spans from today (February 27) to 7th March 2023. Alternatively, if you preorder it in-store during the same time frame you can get a 58-inch Xiaomi TV A2 worth RM2,799. If you purchase it from 8th March 2023 onwards in open retail, they’ll throw in a free pair of Redmi Buds 4 wireless earbuds worth RM239.
The Xiaomi 13 with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage retails for RM3,499 in Malaysia and if you preorder during the preorder period from 27th Feb to March 7 2023, you’ll get a free RM699 e-voucher if you acquire it online from Lazada or Shopee. If you order it at a Xiaomi store, you get a free 43-inch P1 Xiaomi TV worth RM1,799. If you get it in retail after 8th March onwards, you get the same Redmi Buds 4 worth RM239 as the Xiaomi 13 Pro.
