Xiaomi 15T Pro and 15T with Leica cameras launched in Malaysia; prices start from RM1,899
Xiaomi Malaysia unveiled their latest line-up of tablets, wearables and more spearheaded by their new Xiaomi 15T and 15T Pro which blend Leica-tuned cameras with impressive bang for the buck especially in their cameras.

In terms of hardware, the Xiaomi 15T Pro is very well appointed with a 6.83-inch flat AMOLED display panel which offers up 2,772 x 1,280 pixels resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, supports 100% DCI-P3 and features a touch sampling rate of 480Hz. It is also protected from nicks and scratches by robust Corning Gorilla Glass 7i and the display is flanked by a pair of speakers that feature Dolby Atmos as well as Hi-res and Hi-Res Wireless certification.

Powering the phone is a flagship-grade MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ processor paired with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and your choice of 256GB, 512GB and 1TB storage options. The phone runs on Android 15 with their own HyperOS 2 firmware overlaying it.

On the imaging front, the Xiaomi 15T Pro is armed for bear with a primary 50MP f/1.62 camera that uses a Light Fusion 900 image sensor with OIS and Vario Summilux lenses for superior clarity, a 50MP f/3.0 telephoto camera with OIS and 5x optical zoom which is impressive for a phone in its price range. Rounding things off is a 12MP f/2.2 ultra wide angle camera. Up front, the phone has a single 32MP f/2.2 camera for selfies. Keeping it charged is a 5,500mAh battery with 90W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

The Xiaomi 15T retains much of the capabilities of its higher-end and pricier sibling with minor concessions to cost. In terms of build and design, it’s actually slightly lighter at 194g and thinner at 7.5mm than the Pro model while retaining the same IP68 dust and water resistance.

Up front, it has a similarly sized 6.83-inch AMOLED display with the same 2,772 x 1,280 pixels resolution, the same support for 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut, a 480Hz touch sampling rate and is also protected by Corning Gorilla glass 7i but has a slightly lower 120hz refresh rate. Flanking the display are a pair of speakers.
Under the hood, the Xiaomi 15T runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultra chipset that offers respectable performance paired with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and either 256GB or 512Gb of storage while running Android 15 and HyperOS 2.
The camera setup mostly mirrors that of the Pro model. You get a primary 50MP f/1.7 camera that uses a Light Fusion 800 image sensor that’s a notch down from the 900 in the Pro model but which also has OIS for the main camera.

This is paired with a 50MP f/1.9 telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom and a 12MP f/2.2 ultra wide angle camera. The front camera is a similar 32MP F/2.2 camera for selfies and mugshots. Keeping the phone powered is a 5,500mAAh battery with 67W charging which is slower than the Pro model. Another difference is that the base model lacks wireless charging.

In terms of pricing the Xiaomi 15T Pro comes with 12GB RAM as standard with a 1TB variant retailing for RM3,499, the 512GB storage variant for RM2,999 and the 256GB variant for RM2,699. Available colourways for Malaysia for the Xiaomi 15T Pro consist of your choice of Mocha Gold, Black and Grey colourways.

The base Xiaomi 15T with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage retails for RM2,199 and the 12GB RAM and 256GB variant retails for a modest RM1,899.
