Xiaomi launches second authorised store and the new Mi Mix 2 and Redmi 5A Prime in Malaysia

If you’ve been having hankering to see Xiaomi’s eclectic range of lifestyle products and phones in an-up close and personal fashion, you’re in luck as they have just officially launched their latest authorised store in KLCC after their inaugural store at Queensbay Mall, Penang earlier this year in April.

Consisting of some 940 square feet, the new Authorised Mi Store in KLCC features a showcase of their latest products and technologies such as their Mi Drone, their latest range of Mi TVs, their notebooks and much more. Currently, a selected number of phones and accessories such as the Mi Band 2, Mi Power Banks, suitcases and backpacks, table lamps and Bluetooth speakers are currently for sale with their full range of hardware arriving in stages over time.

Xiaomi also took the opportunity to announce the Mi MIX 2 and the Redmi 5A Prime for sale at the store. The Mi Mix 2 comes a widescreen 2:1 aspect ratio 5.99-inch 2,160 x 1080 pixel 403ppi display, a blazing fast Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, 6GB RAM, 64GB of expandable storage and a rear 12-MP camera with optical image stabilisation and a dual-LED flash. Preorders begin on 11 November and the phone will retail for RM2,199 with it officially hitting the market on 16 November 2017.

The Redmi Note 5A Prime has a 5.5-inch 720P display up front, a Snapdragon 435 processor paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB of expandable storage along with an unibody aluminium casing with a front plastic fascia framing the touchscreen. The rear sports a 13-MP camera with an F/2.2 aperture paired with PDAF and an LED flash alongside a fingerprint sensor while the front comes with a 16-MP selfie camera that also sports a dedicated flash for selfies. The Redmi Note 5A Prime comes in your choice of Gold or Gray at RM699 and is up for preorders staring from 11 November at authorised Mi Stores and Lazada.

To commemorate the launch of the Mi Authorised store in KLCC, they’ve come up with an interesting launching promotion where they are offering the Mi Note 2 at a promotional price of RM1,599 while stocks .
