Affordably huge Xiaomi TV A2 series tellies now in Malaysia with prices from RM799

While TVs typically don’t come cheap in Malaysia, the new Xiaomi TV A2 series of Android TVs  that comes in a variety of sizes culminating in a huge 58-inch model aims to redefine affordable performance with prices from RM999 and up.

Xiaomi TV A2 58-inch, 43-inch, 32-inch specifications

The largest model in the line-up, the 58-inch version of the Xiaomi TV A2 features a 4K UHD display with a 90% DCI-P3 colour gamut, a modest 60Hz refresh rate as well as support for Dolby Vision and HDR10 content paired with a pair of 10W speakers beefed up by Dolby Vision and DTS-HD audio support.

Under the hood, the Xiaomi TV A2 58-inch comes with a quad-core Cortex A55 processor paired with 2GB RAM and 16GB of onboard storage running Android TV 10 OS with all the usual perks that come with it.

In keeping with other Android TVs, you get Chromecast and Miracast to push content to the display, Google Assistant baked-in to interact with Xiaomi’s diverse array of other products including their air purifiers, lights, security cameras and more. Other mod-cons include Bluetooth 5.0 and WiFi on top of a comprehensive array of ports. The Xiaomi TV A2 58-inch retails for RM2,799.

If your home isn’t as palatial, you can opt for the smaller Xiaomi TV A2 32-inch that features a HD resolution panel with a 60Hz refresh rate and a pair of 10W speakers enhanced with Dolby Audio. Under the hood, it runs on the same Cortex A55 quad core processor running Android TV albeit with slightly less 1.5GB RAM and 8GB of onboard storage. 

You still get Chromecast and Miracast befitting a Google TV, Google Assistant and the ability to act as a smart home control like its larger 58-inch sibling with the obligatory Bluetooth 5.0 and WiFi. In terms of pricing, the Xiaomi TV A2 32-inch costs RM999 but for a limited time, Xiaomi is offering an early bird price of RM799.

A mid-sized Mi TV A2 43-inch version with a Full HD display, the same Cortex A55 processor with 1.5GB RAM and 8GB storage and the same 60Hz panel refresh rate is also available priced at RM1,299 though Xiaomi is offering it at RM1,099 for a limited time.

In terms of availability, the Xiaomi Smart TV A2 58-inch will be available at the aforementioned RM2,799 price tag on September 9th 2022 and early bird buyers will get a free Xiaomi 23.8-inch Desktop Monitor 1C display.

The Xiaomi Smart TV A2 43-inch will be available for RM1,200 on the same date as well with an introductory early bird price of RM1,099.

The Xiaomi TV A2 32-inch will be available at an introductory RM799 price versus its original RM999 price tag but there’s no firm date set on its arrival in Malaysia just yet. All 3 TVs will be available at Xiaomi stores nationwide as well as Lazada and Shopee.
