Asus hints at Zenfone Max M2 debut in Malaysia on 11 January 2019
Asus Malaysia has just launched the Zenfone Max Pro M2 a while back in Malaysia but they haven’t been idle as they have hinted that they will be introducing its more affordable sibling the Zenfone Max M2 in Malaysia in some form or fashion this coming 11 January 2019.
The Zenfone Max M2 has roughly similar dimensions as its pro namesake and has a 6.26-inch, 1,520 x 720 pixel display that’s lower res than its Pro sibling, a Snapdragon 632 processor and up to 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage with a rear 13-MP F/1.8 camera paired up with a secondary 2-MP depth sensor along with a front-facing 8-MP selfie camera. Crammed within it is a 4,000mAh battery juiced by a micro USB port. This is slightly less capacity than the Max Pro M2’s massive 5,000mAh battery but it’s still quite substantial.
Other mod cons unique to Max M2 and the Max Pro M2 are that it runs stock Android Oreo 8.1, has a rear fingerprint reader and has facial unlock tech to boot which gives it quite an edge.
While there’s no official statement as yet on the exact configuration coming to Malaysia, Asus’ official page has a listing for the Max M2 with a 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage variant available. We’ll keep you posted on developments.
