Samsung’s new 24-inch display has killer curves

While their high-end SUHD tellies are taking the limelight this year, Samsung has just taken the wraps off their 2016 refresh of their desktop Curved Monitor aka the LC24F390FHEXXM if you’re a stickler for detail.

The Samsung Curved monitor is a 24-inch beauty with a 1800R screen curvature and 1080P resolution with the ability to support 72% of the colour gamut while possessing a 3000:1 contrast ratio and a 4ms response time.

A host of eco-saving tech integrated into the panel helps to save up to 10% of juice when in use by dynamically adjusting display brightness and the display is suited to long hours of work or gaming as it’s gentle curvature mimics the eye’s normal field of vision. On the gaming front, it comes with AMD’s FreeSync function to minimise in-game stuttering, ensuring silky smooth frame rates. The panel also has a built-in Game Mode that dynamically adjusts monitor settings for smoother footage onscreen while minimising ghosting and juddering, making it a tasty proposition for FPS shooters where every second counts.
