Razer Pro Glide XXL Review – Gigantic grey RM149 mouse pad for when you mean business

Launched alongside the Razer Pro Type Ultra keyboard and Pro Click Mini mouse, the Razer Pro Glide XXL mouse pad is the trifecta that completes Razer’s new triumvirate of Pro-series products intended for productivity related tasks. Here’s our Razer Pro Glide XXL review where we put their massive mouse pad to the test.

Razer Pro Glide XXL Review – Performance

The Razer Pro Glide XXL is effectively an upsized mouse pad that’s almost a metre long and almost half as wide while being just 3mm thin. When fully unfurled, the mouse pad can easily cover all but the largest work desks.

The underside of the mouse pad is made of an anti-slip rubber foam base which helps to keep it in place even with vigorous use. The top of the Razer Pro Glide XXL is made of a textured micro-weave polyester fabric that’s done up in grey in keeping with Razer’s other Pro series products which feels smooth to the touch. While it’s not rated to be water resistant, it does repel water for a limited period of time, enough that you can wipe a spill off before any permanent damage occurs.

When put to the test, my Razer Pro Glide XXL review sample was plonked on a standard chipboard wood desk and was sized sufficiently to cover the majority of the desk with a bit of space around the edges to spare.

The grippy rubber underside ensured that the pad doesn’t move the slightest unless you lift it up while the padding offered a modicum of comfort while using the mouse.

Even after several months of daily use, the Razer Pro Glide XXL remained relatively stain free though it did require the occasional wipe down with a damp cloth on account of dust in the far edges of the pad that did not see much use.

Should you buy the Razer Pro Glide XXL?

The Razer Pro Glide XXL mouse pad is an ideal complement to the Razer Pro Type Ultra keyboard and Pro Click Mini mouse and creates an effective trio of devices for productivity. The large size and dimensions of the mouse ensures plenty of space even for vigorous mouse users though the large dimensions means that it won’t fit all tables. Fortunately, a more compact medium sized version is available.
