Honor X8a with a huge 100MP camera coming to Malaysia priced at RM999
Honor has added another phone to their roster of midrange X-series devices here dubbed the Honor X8a that notably comes with an RM999 price tag and a rear triple camera that notably has a 100MP primary sensor.
What is the Honor X8a
In terms of hardware, the Honor X8a features a 6.7-inch FHD+ LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate that features slim side and top bezels though the bottom chin is still a bit on the chunky side.
Running under the hood is a MediaTek Helio G88 processor that’s built on a 12nm processor paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage though the phone lacks a microSD card slot so you’re stuck with what you are issued. Unfortunately, the Helio G88 chipset also limits the phone to 4G connectivity though you get WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1.
On the rear is a triple camera array that features a 100MP F/1.9 sensor with a 5MP ultra wide angle camera and a 2MP macro camera while a 16MP selfie camera perches in a punch hole up top on the front display. Keeping the phone powered is a 4,500mAH battery with 22.5W fast charging support.
In Malaysia, the Honor X8a retails for RM999 in your choice of Cyan Lake, Titanium Silver and Midnight Black colourways and for a limited time, they’re throwing in a free car charger and one-year extended warranty worth RM258. For more details check out the official Honor X8a page here.
