New Redmi Note 13 series Malaysia launch: value-packed phones yours from RM699

Alongside a global debut in Bangkok that saw brand ambassador BamBam Kunmipook taking the stage, Xiaomi has also launched their Redmi Note 13 series in Malaysia.

The new Redmi Note 13 series consists of four new models – the baseline Redmi Note 13, the Redmi Note 13 5G, the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G and the top of the line Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G.

The new line-up succeeds the Redmi Note 12 series from last year.

Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G specs

The highest specifications in the Redmi Note 13 series belong to the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G which has a 6.67-inch curved AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 2,712 x 1,220 (1.5K) pixel resolution protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G uses a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra 2.8GHz processor with two RAM/storage variants for the Malaysia market that max out to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB.

The camera on the rear comes with a primary 200MP F/1.65 camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra wide angle camera and a 2MP macro camera while the front has a 16MP camera for selfies. Powering the phone is a 5,000mAh battery with 120W HyperCharge fast charging and the phone comes with a charger in the box.

Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G specs

The Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G also has a 6.67-inch curved AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 2,712 x 1,220 (1.5K) pixel resolution protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus like the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G except with a flat instead of a curved display, has a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor, up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage.

The rear camera has 200MP F/1.65 camera with OIS, 8MP F/2.2 ultra wide camera and 2MP macro camera. The front also has a 16MP selfie camera. The battery has 5,100mAh capacity with 67W fast charging and a bundled 67W in-box charger.

Redmi Note 13 5G and Redmi Note 13 4G specs

The Redmi Note 13 is the most affordable phone in the Redmi Note 13 series and has a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 2,400 x 1,080 pixel resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the phone is a Snapdragon 685 processor with up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage with a microSD card that supports cards up to 1TB.

The rear comes with a 108MP camera with pixel binning, an 8MP ultra wide angle camera and 2MP macro camera while selfies are captured by a 16MP camera on top of the front display.

The Redmi Note 13 also has a 5,000mAh charger with 33W fast charging and has a bundled charging with it too. This version has 4G support. The 5G version is similar to the 4G model but uses a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 processor and costs a bit more with a bit more RAM.

Redmi Note 13 series price and availability in Malaysia

In terms of availability, the Redmi Note 13 series will be available nationwide from 20th January 2024 onwards from official Xiaomi stores on Lazada and Shopee as well as authorised Xiaomi stores.

Prices range from RM699 if you get the baseline Redmi Note 13 from Shopee all the way to RM1,999 for the top of the line Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G. Here’s the complete list of Redmi Note 13 series models and prices
