New Predator Helios Neo 14 AI and Nitro 16 gaming laptop with latest Intel Core Ultra CPUs makes global debut
Acer has announced their latest addition to their Predator gaming series dubbed the Predator Helios Neo 14 that comes with the latest 14th Gen Intel Core processors, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series laptop GPUs and a dedicated key to access Microsoft Copilot.
Predator Helios Neo 14 Specifications and Price
Designed as a more portable yet equally potent alternative to the larger Predator Helios Neo 16 and 18, the sleek Predator Helios Neo 14 is armed to the teeth. Specifications vary depending on region but you get a 14.5-inch WQXGA (3,072 x 1,920 pixels) resolution display with a 165Hz refresh rate, a 100% sRGB colour gamut and support for NVIDIA Advanced Optimus though a WQXGA (2,560 x 1,600 pixel) 120Hz and a WUXGA (1,920 x 1,200 pixel) 120Hz resolution variant also exists.
Powering the laptop is up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 195H processor, up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 laptop processor with 8GB GDDR6 VRAM, up to 32GB LPDDR5X RAM, up to a 1TB SSD and a 76Whr battery juiced by a 230W adaptor. To ensure consistent gaming performance under heavy loads, the laptop hosts a 5th Gen AeroBlade 3D fan with Vortex Flow tech, liquid metal grease on the CPU and broad vector heat pipes for effective heat ventilation.
The laptop also has a number of AI-enhancements for video and audio communications with their Acer PurifierVoice 2.0 that squelches noises in the background during calls on its triple-mic array and their Acer Purified View webcam that uses AI to enhance video quality. Additional mod-cons include fast Intel Killer Wireless WiFi 6E, three-zone lighting on the keyboard and the aforementioned CoPilot key on the keyboard.
Acer quotes that the Predator Helios Neo 14 will be available in the United States in May priced from USD1,800 and up and in the EMEA in June from EUR 1,999. but there’s no Malaysia launch date or pricing just yet. We’ll keep you posted the moment we get any updates.
Acer also announced the more affordable Acer Nitro 16 gaming laptop which has up to a 16-inch WQXGA (2,560 x 1,600 pixels) display with 165Hz, NVIDIA Advanced Optimus and 100% sRGB, up to an Intel Core Ultra i7-14700HX CPU, up to an NVIDIA GeFoOrce RTX 4060 mobile GPU with 8GB GDDR6 VRAM, up to 32GB DDR5 RAM, up to a 2TB SSD and a 76Whr battery juiced by a 230W power brick.
The Acer Nitro 16 will also launch in May at a cheaper USD1,400 and in the EMEA in June from EUR1,599.
