LGD Gaming Malaysia crowned champion in Honor of Kings Invitational Season 2
Esports team LGD Gaming Malaysia have been crowned the champions of the Honor of Kings Invitational Season 2 tournament with the largest share of the US$300,000 prize pool and will move on to the next rung of the tournament, the Honor of Kings Invitational Midseason from 1 – 4 August where 12 selected international teams will compete for gold.
LGD Gaming Malaysia took initial losses and clawed their way back from a 0-2 loss at the start to clinch the win with three back-to-back victories at Sunway Velocity Mall. The event also saw Infinix and their GT 20 Pro as the official gaming phone with Lapakgaming as the official Top Up partner.
In addition to LGD Gaming Malaysia, 7 of the highest ranked teams will also prepare for the Honor of Kings Invitational Midseason Esports World Cup for the US$3 million prize pool. The competition has one qualifying slot – in this case taken by Team Falcon from Saudi Arabia and the other going to Weibo Gaming Malaysia who advanced from the EWC Last Chance Qualifier.
There are also two additional invites – one an all-star line-up from King’s Pro League, the Chinese pro Honor of Kings league as well as an invite for the Southeast Asia region selected from the Honor of Kings Southeast Asia Showdown with the Philippines and Indonesia duking it out for the slot.
