Leica has announced that their third generation Leica Q3 43 camera is now available in Malaysia. Featuring a specially developed 43mm fixed focal APO-Summicron 43 f/2 ASPH lens that’s ideal for portraits and street photography, the Leica Q3 43 camera retains the distinctive silhouette of the original Leica Q3 camera’s casing including IP52 dust and splash protection though this time around it has distinctive grey leather trim over a black camera body.
What is the Leica Q3 43
The new 43mm APO-Summicron lens allows for shots to be captured at 43, 60, 75, 90, 120 and 150mm focal lengths by using the frame lines in the 5.76-million dot OLED viewfinder or the tiltable three-inch touch display; shots captured by the 60MP BSI CMOS full-frame sensor that has Triple Resolution technology can be captured at full 60MP or at 36MP and 18MP resolution. Under the hood, the Leica Q3 43 uses the same image processor as the prior Q3 – the Maestro IV engine
The camera also retains modern conveniences including WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity as well as easy image transfers using the Leica FOTOS app for the Google Play store and the Apple app store.
In terms of pricing, the Leica Q3 43 will set you back a hefty RM34,990 and can be acquired at their official store at Avenue K opposite KLCC mall, authorised dealers nationwide and their official website here in Malaysia.
