OPPO announces red R9s for Valentine’s Day

OPPO’s R9s camphone is one of the more interesting devices in the market of late seeing as it comes with a rear 16-MP camera with a Sony IMX 398 sensor that packs a bright F/1.7 aperture lens along with dual PDAF tech for better performance and faster autofocus, making it one of the more powerful camphones in its price range. Paired with this is a 5.5-inch 1080P display, 4GB RAM, 64GB of expandable storage, a fingerprint reader and a 3,010mAh battery augmented by their VOOC fast charging tech.

In Malaysia, they’ve launched the R9s in two different colours: gold and rose gold though they’re adding another colour to the line-up. OPPO has just announced a striking red variant that will be released in time for Valentine’s Day. The hardware is essentially the same as its siblings though the finish is a much more striking red. There’s no firm word on price though its siblings in either colour have retailed for RM1,798. OPPO has not  announced launch or preorder dates either but we’ll keep you posted.
