Hyundai IONIQ 5 N and 6 N launched in Malaysia, prices start from RM443,888

At MITEC 2026, Hyundai launched their high-performance IONIQ 5 N and IONIQ 6 N electric performance vehicles in Malaysia. For the uninitiated, the Hyundai N-series culls design concepts and engineering that mimic the feel of a high-performance combustion vehicle while retaining the efficiency of an electric design., creating a class that blends everyday practicality and the exhibition of handling a racing thoroughbred.

What is the Hyundai IONIQ 5 N and IONIQ 6 N?

The Hyundai IONIQ 5 N was rated as the 2024 World performance Car and is capable of producing 650PS with N Grin Boost while delivering 0-100km/h in just 3.4 seconds while being able to hit a top speed of 260km/h and offering a practical WLTP range of 448km. 

In addition, the Hyundai IONIQ 5 N benefits from a suite of tech that include N e Shift which is the world’s first EV system that simulates the tactility of an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission, N Active Sound, N Drift Optimiser, N Torque Distribution, N Launch Control and the aforementioned N Grin Boost. In Malaysia, the IONIQ 5N is built-to-order and is officially priced at RM443, 888 on-the-road, without insurance.

Launched alongside the IONIQ 5, the IONIQ 6 N features a more aggressive silhouette that has a more efficient 0.27 Cd drag coefficient that’s built on the aerodynamic IONIQ 6 Streamliner.

Like the IONIQ 5 N, the IONIQ 6N features 650PS with N Grin Boost with 0-100km/h in just 3.2 seconds with a top speed of 257km/h with an extended WLTP range of 487km along with stroke-sensing Electronically Controlled Suspension. In Malaysia, the IONIQ 6 N is available priced at RM449,888 on-the-road, without insurance and is built-to-order.
