Huawei Pura 90s Pro Max and Huawei 90s Pro launched in Malaysia; preorders to offer up to RM3,076 in free gifts
Huawei has just launched the latest incarnation of their flagship Pura line of phones in Malaysia that consist of the Huawei Pura 90s Pro Max and the Huawei Pura 90s Pro, both of which mark a return to supporting 5G connectivity as well as hardware that is intended to stand toe to toe with the competition.
Huawei Pura 90s series specs
In terms of hardware, the Huawei Pura 90s Pro Max is the more powerful of the two phones and acts as the apex design for the line-up, featuring a 6.9-inch LTPO OLED display with 1,308 x 2,880 pixels resolution and that is protected by their own in-house drop proof Kunlun Glass as well as an anti-reflective coating.
Powering the Huawei Pura 90s Pro Max is their own Kirin 9030s SoC running their own inhouse EMUI 16 based on Android 16 and apps off the Huawei AppGallery with 12GB RAM and 512GB of onboard storage.
The rear hosts a triple camera array that consists of a 50MP main camera with an f/.1.4-4.0 variable aperture, a 200MP f/2.6 telephoto camera with 4x optical zoom and a 40MP ultrawide angle camera. The front hosts a single 13MP camera for selfies. Keeping the phone powered is a 6,000mAH battery with 100W wired charging and 80W wireless charging.
The Huawei Pura 90s Pro features the same Kirin 9030s chipset and has a slightly smaller 6.6-inch LTPO OLED screen with 1,256 x 2,760 pixels resolution that’s also protected by Kunlun Glass.
Like the Max, the Pura 90s Pro also runs on EMUI and also has 12GB RAM and either 256GB or 512GB of storage. The battery features 6,000mAh capacity but has slightly slower 66W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
Where the Huawei Pura 90s Pro differs is its rear camera setup which consists of a 50MP main camera with a similar f/12.4-4.0 variable aperture, a more modest 12.5MP f/2.2 ultra wide angle camera and a 50MP f/2.1 telephoto camera with 4x optical zoom.

In terms of pricing, the Huawei Pura 90s Pro Max with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage is priced at RM4,899 while the Huawei Pura 90s Pro with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage clocks in at RM3,999 while the 256GB variant retails for RM3,699.
Both phones are now available for preorder with free gifts worth up to RM3,076 and can be acquired on the Huawei official website, Shopee, Lazada and TikTok. Also launched at the same time is the Huawei FreeClip 2 S wireless earbuds that have an Airy C-bridge design for all-day comfort and an RM899 price tag and which can also be acquired on the same channels as the Huawei Pura 90s series.
