Seeing the state of affairs in the world today, consumers are keeping their tech for longer periods of time and Asus is committed to making their tech last with their upgraded customer ownership experience that offers peace of mind for longer along with a new Asus ProCare programme for their premium laptop line-up in keeping with their commitment to quality and service.
According to Asus, their laptops are subjected to 34 durability tests, enjoy a 2-year international warranty with accidental protection and customers can also get repairs and support from 1,000 service points nationwide.
In addition, their premium Pro series line-up and selected laptops also enjoy a new Asus ProCare programme that includes an unlimited 360 Cleaning and Maintenance Service and Priority Service support programme.
Asus Malaysia – 34 Durability tests and commitment to 2 years of Absolute Peace of Mind
To ensure superior product quality, Asus has set up 34 durability tests that simulate physical impacts, wear-and-tear as well as extreme environmental conditions to ensure that their products deliver real-world reliability.
Among the durability tests that Asus commits to include a drop test that ensures laptops can survive a 100cm fall, survival in extremes of temperature from -33°C to 55°C, the ability to survive minor spills on the keyboard, pressure and vibration tests.
Rather than simply paying lip service, Asus showcased the durability of their laptops to invited guests in a series of live field tests where their laptops were dropped, chilled over dry ice, subjected to blazing hot temperatures, subjected to sprays of water, plonked on top of a vibrating platform and crushed under 80kg worth of weights.
Moving forward, Asus is also committed to a 2-year international warranty with what they refer to as a 2-year Asus Perfect Warranty (Local Accidental Damage Protection) to offer added peace of mind for every Asus or ROG laptop launched after 28 July 2026. This policy encompasses unexpected repair costs from drops, spills and electrical surges.
Asus Malaysia – 1,000 service points nationwide and Asus ProCare programme
Durability is nothing without a robust support network and Asus Malaysia currently offers 1,000 service points nationwide with support coverage in over 90 countries across the globe. In Malaysia, customers can drop off their laptops at any Pos Malaysia branch or authorised service centre for repair and then collect it after it’s done.
Users can also request for a Pick-Up & Return (PUR) service with a courier collecting and returning it straight to your doorstep after the necessary repairs are complete.
For the ultimate in service and customer support, Asus has also introduced their new ProCare programme for owners of new ProArt, Zenbook, Vivobook S and ROG laptops launched after 28 July 2026.
Under the Asus ProCare programme, eligible laptops will get a 10-step process that includes internal and external cleaning, diagnostics checks, thermal paste reapplication and more with prioritised service at authorised Asus service centres.
