DJI Osmo 360 II camera launched in Malaysia, 360-degree 8K camera yours from RM2,189

While DJI is best known for action cameras and drones along with more specialised designs that include 360-degree cameras like their popular DJI Osmo 360 that launched last year. Now, they’re looking to up the ante with a successor dubbed the DJI Osmo 360 II that will be available in the near future in Malaysia after its initial debut in China several weeks prior.

In essence, the new Osmo 360 II introduces dual 1/1.1-inch square CMOS sensors capable of capturing 360-degree video at up to 8K@60fps with 14.5 stops dynamic range while enjoying 25% reduced power consumption and their AI SuperNight 2.0 algorithm for improved low-light performance. The DJI Osmo 360 II is also able to capture 4K@240fps slow-motion footage, 16K 360-degree timelapse video and 120MP stills.

Of note is the introduction of replaceable lenses that enable users to replace damaged lenses in the field without the need for extended repair downtime. The lenses also feature a tougher optical film for improved scratch and wear resistance.

Keeping everything running is a larger 2,150mAh battery with the ability to offer up to 100 minutes of 8K@30fps footage on a single charge off its 105GB of onboard built-in storage.

DJI Osmo 360 II Malaysia price and launch date

In terms of pricing, the DJI Osmo 360 II will come in three possible configurations that include an array of accessories with a base Standard combo for RM2,189, an Adventure Combo for RM2,629 and a more specialised Limitless Riding Combo for RM2,299. There’s no specific launch date just yet though DJI will be announcing specifics later in September.

For a limited time, DJI is offering a special DJI Care Refresh programme where purchases of the DJI Osmo 360 II from  now till 30 September 2026 will get the free DJI Care Refresh 1-Year Plan that covers accidental damage including water, collisions and natural wear and tear subject to terms and conditions worth R169.
