Acer resurrects Packard Bell brand with new DotBook laptop, a vinyl turntable, speakers and more with startling orange colourways
Famous in the mid-80s and 90s, Packard Bell was a consumer electronics brand that came with fond memories for millennials. Now operating under the Acer Group, Packard Bell is being resurrected once more with a full line-up of lifestyle products and a laptop dubbed the Packard Bell DotBook at IFA 2026.

Hosting a neon orange chassis that is as striking as it is attractive, the Packard Bell DotBook reportedly features a 14.5-inch IPS display, an Intel N150 processor, 512GB storage and 7-hours of battery life as well as a battery rated for 7-hours of endurance.

Other items in the new Packard Bell line-up include the DotLoop, a vinyl turntable done up in white with neon orange trim, the DotTune compact speaker, a line-up of 4G LTE-enabled slab phones called the DotLine, the DotShine ring light, the DotCombo keyboard and mouse and the DotBass range of headphones that come in a range of hues including, you guessed it, neon orange.

Oddly, the line-up also includes a mini-steamer called the Steasy in neon orange that is about the size of a lunch box.

There’s no official word on local availability or pricing just yet but the Packard Bell range will be launched in waves in EMEA from September through to November 2026 with the DotBook retailing for €499, the DotLoop for €149, the DotTune for €34.99, the DotLine for €69, the DotShine for €39, the DotCombo for €39, the DotBass for €29 and the Steasy for €199.
