Awesome new Acer eKinekt Bike Desk lets you charge your tech and get fit too for USD999

CES 2023 is typically a showcase of innovative and unusual tech but Acer’s latest offering is so out of left field that it’s brilliant. Their Acer eKinekt Bike Desk enables desk jockeys to get exercise in when working while also helping the environment too.

What is the Acer eKinekt Bike Desk

In terms of design, the Acer eKinekt Bike Desk consists of an exercise bike and an adjustable desk made of post-consumer recycled plastic. The desk has an integrated LED readout along with a pair of USB-A and one USB-C port. Naturally, it also has a cup holder to hold your cup of joe. The seats and the desk are adjustable along with the resistance of the bike itself.

 As a user peddles away on the Acer eKinekt Bike Desk, the energy is then converted into an electric charge with an hour worth of cycling at 60 RPM getting you 75W of power to charge laptops, phones and other gear. 

To cater to casual peddlers and more ardent sportspeople, the desk has a Work mode that lets users sit upright and sedately peddle while working. Users can alternatively kick in a Sports mode where the desk is farther away to allow them to lean forward like a sports bike for more serious workouts.

Will the Acer eKinekt Bike Desk come to Malaysia?

In terms of availability, the Acer eKinekt Bike Desk will be arriving in the United States in June 2023 for USD$999 and in Taiwan in April 2023 for NTD 29,000. There’s no word yet on an official Malaysia debut but we’ll keep you posted when we get any updates.
