Ahead of its slated Computex 2023 debut, Acer has revealed details about their latest gaming laptop, the Predator Triton 16 that comes with all of their most recent embellishments to their Predator gaming line including 13th Gen Intel Core processors, enhanced Aeroblade 3D Cooling fans and the latest Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 graphics.
Acer Predator Triton 16 specs and price
Aesthetically speaking, the Predator Triton 16 resembles its smaller sibling the Triton 14 that we previewed a while back including a similar sparkling silver finish all around and a similar 19.9mm thin chassis.
However, it has a slight increase in weight and dimensions on account of a larger 16-inch WQXGA (2,560 x 1,600 pixels) IPS display that has 500 nits peak brightness, 100% DCI-P3, a blistering 240Hz refresh rate as well as support for both NVIDIA Advanced Optimus and NVIDIA G-Sync.
Powering the Acer Predator Triton 16 is up to a 13th Gen Intel Core i8 processor, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 mobile GPU with NVIDIA DLSS 3 and Max-Q tech for better performance across the board, up to 32GB DDR5 5,200MHz RAM and up to a 1TB PCIe M.2 SSD in RAID 0 configuration. Exact configurations will vary by region.
Keeping all this hardware cool are a pair of dual 5th Gen Aeroblade 3D fans, Acer’s own Vortex Flow optimisation tech for sustained cooling performance via dedicated heat pipes and exhaust vents as well as liquid metal thermal grease on the CPU for better heat transfer capabilities.
Oddly enough, the Acer Predator Triton 16 has a similar keyboard layout to the Triton 14 with the similar omission of a numeric keypad despite the larger size though it does have per-key RGB lighting that can be further tweaked via the PredatorSense app. Additional mod-cons with the Acer Predator Triton 16 include Intel Killer DoubleShot Pro (E2600 + WiFi 6E) along with a pair of USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, a HDMI 2.1 port, a Type-C USB port with Thunderbolt 4 as well as a microSD card reader.
According to Acer, the Predator Triton 16 will be launched in the United States in September 2023 with prices from US$1,800 and in the EMEA at EUR 2,299.
There’s no slated launch date or price yet for Malaysia in regards to the Acer Predator Triton 16 but we’ll keep you posted the moment they make an official announcement! For more details check out Acer’s official page at https://www.acer.com/my-en/
