Acer Swift, Spin and Aspire laptops refreshed with 11th Gen Intel CPUs

The Next At Acer livestream event saw the brand unveiling their high end Porsche Design Acer Book RS laptop along with a slew of refreshed offerings in their workhorse Acer Swift, Acer Spin and Acer Aspire series notebooks that now pack 11th Gen Intel Core processors.

Acer Swift 3ˣ

The refreshed Acer Swift 3ˣ  is intended for content creators and weighs a modest 1.37kg while packing in a 14-inch FHD IPS display which has an 84% screen-to-body ratio, the latest 11th Gen Intel Core CPUs paired with Intel Iris Xe MAX discrete graphics as well as a host of ports including USB-C ports, Thunderbolt 4 ports and USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports to meet any eventuality. The series also offers exceptional endurance at 17.5 hours of rated battery life with a 30 minute top-up offering 4 hours of use.

Acer Spin 5

The revamped Acer Spin 5 is intended for business professionals and has 11th Gen Intel Core i7 CPUs with Iris Xe graphics as well as a touchscreen with an 80% screen-to-body ratio packing a 3:2 aspect ratio paired with their Acer Active stylus.

A 360-degree hinge that lets you use it as a slate or a laptop as needed. Other mod-cons include a rated 15 hours of battery life with Thunderbolt 4 ports, Killer 1650 WiFi and dual stereo speakers. It also has an optional anti microbial coating that is rated to deal with icky microbes and whatnot with extreme efficiency.

Acer Aspire 5

The Acer Aspire 5 also enjoys the same 11th Gen Intel Core CPU upgrades with Iris Xe graphics or NVIDIA GeForce MX450 graphics as its generational siblings along with a generously sized Full HD display that offers an 80% screen-to-body ratio. Other features include up to 24GB DDR4 RAM, up to a 1TB M. PCIe SSD and up to to 2TB of hard disk storage.

Price and Availability for Acer Swift 3ˣ, Spin 5 and Aspire 5

According to Acer, the Spin 5 will be available from February 2021 in the United States from US$999.99.  The Acer Swift 3ˣ will be available Stateside from US$899.99 this coming December  while the Aspire 5 will be available in the US from US$499.99 from December onwards with some variants available from February 2021 onwards.
