Acer TravelMate P2, P4 and P6 laptops for enterprise debut in Malaysia from RM3,249
Fresh off their Computex 2023 reveal of consumer-oriented tech, Acer has revealed their latest line-up of TravelMate and Veriton laptops, desktops and monitors intended for enterprise use in Malaysia. Among the diverse range of new commercial devices is the new Acer TravelMate P2, P4 and P6 series laptops, all of which are available in Malaysia for consideration for corporate use.
Unlike standard issue devices meant for consumers, Acer’s Travelmate series devices have baked in hardware, firmware and OS protection along with the use of commercial bios, Acer office manager and Windows Autopilot across the board to secure these devices from tampering as well as ensuring that they are easy to manage and deploy in a corporate environment.
All new TravelMate series laptops including the aforementioned P2, P4 and P6 have an upgraded Dust Defender fan that is able to not only cool the laptop but also spin counterclockwise to blow dust out of the internal chassis. The Acer TravelMate P2 is the baseline laptop for enterprise use and comes in three possible variants. You get either a 14-inch or 16-inch WUXGA display, either Intel Iris Xe or Intel UHD graphics, 8GB DDR4 RAM, either a 512GB or 256GB SSD and either an Intel Core Ci5-1335U or Ci3-1315U processor.
The top of the line variant for the TravelMate P2 comes configured with a 16-inch WUXGA (1,290 x 1,200) pixel display, an Intel Core Ci5-1335U CPU, 8GB DDR4 RAM, a 512GB SSD and Intel Iris Xe graphics for RM3,899. 
The other two variants use a 14-inch WUXGA display with one using a Intel Core Ci5-1335U CPU, Iris Xe graphics, 8GB RAM and a 512GB SSD for RM3,959 while the variant with an Intel Core Ci3-1315U CPU, Intel UHD graphics, 8GB RAM and 256GB costs RM3,249.
As mentioned, it also has Acer’s new Dust Defender fan for kicking out dust. The new Acer TravelMate P2 series can also come with optional 4G LTE connectivity.

Slightly higher up the totem pole is the Acer Travelmate P4 and TravelMate P4 Spin with the latter featuring a touchscreen and a 360-degree hinge to function as a convertible laptop.
Of note with the new TravelMate P4 and P4 Spin is the inclusion of an RGB sensor next to the webcam that dynamically detects ambient colour and light to adjust the brightness and colour temperature of the display to ensure it is easy on the eyes wherever you choose to use it.
The higher end Acer Travelmate Spin clocks in at RM5,699 on account of its convertible nature and comes with an Intel Core Ci7-1355U CPU, a 14-inch WUXGA IPS touchscreen that also packs a bundled stylus, Intel Iris Xe graphics, 16GB DDR4 RAM and a 512GB SSD.
The TravelMate P4 laptop has a standard clamshell design, has a non-touch 14-inch WUXGA display, an Intel Core Ci5-1335U processor paired with 8GB DDR4 RAM and a 512GB SSD with Intel Iris Xe graphics for RM4,559.
Acer Travelmate P6 series price and specs in Malaysia
Intended as the pinnacle of the TravelMate series, the new TravelMate P6 is their thinnest and lightest design out of the lot, measuring in at 16.9mm thin and at 1.1kg while packing a host of beefy features belying its slim dimensions.
The top of the line variant features a 14-inch WQXGA+ (2,880 x 1,800 pixels) OLED that has 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut reproduction, an Intel Core i7-1335U CPU, 16GB LPDDR5 RAM, a 1TB SSD, Intel Iris Xe graphics and an RM6,899 price tag.
You can also opt for a variant which is otherwise identical save for the use of a more versatile 14-inch WUXGA IPS touch display for RM6,799. Both variants also have WiFi6E and optional 5G connectivity.
