Apple Watch SE with fall detection, fitness tracking and more will cost you just RM1,199
Apple certainly had a slew of interesting surprises today with a release in their line-up of the new iPad Air, a revamped 8th Gen iPad, the Apple Watch Series 6 and uniquely, a more affordable offering called the Apple Watch SE.
The Apple Watch SE has aesthetics similar to the Series 4 with a Retina display that’s 30% larger than the one on the Series 3 Apple Watch. The hardware running under the hood is their S5 System in Package (SIP) and dual-core processor from the Series 5 Apple Watch and runs Apple’s WatchOS 7.
It shares a similar accelerometer, gyroscope and altimeter as the Apple Watch Series 6 and includes fall detection, Emergency SOS international emergency calling and the helpful Noise app that lets you know if you’re in a really noisy area that can damage your hearing and that you ought to relocate post haste.
Software features with the Apple Watch OS7 include their Fitness Plus subscription app which usually costs US$79.99 per year or US$9.99 a month but you’ll get three months free with your new Watch SE. You’ll also get their Family Setup feature that lets a parent manage Apple Watches for other younger or older members of the family to share location alerts and critical messages.
