ASUS ExpertBook B7 Flip convertible for Malaysia packs 12th Gen Intel CPUs, 11 hours battery life and priced from RM8,499

ASUS has been carving out a solid reputation for themselves with their ExpertBook range of business notebooks that combine mil spec grade toughness and top-shelf specifications in Malaysia and they’re looking to further enhance that solid rep with the release of their latest ExpertBook B7 Flip convertible that takes it up a notch.

What is the ASUS ExpertBook B7 Flip

In a briefing for invited guests, ASUS Malaysia revealed the new ASUS ExpertBook B7 Flip for consideration to organisations requiring a high-performance, enterprise-grade 5G-enabled laptop that has a tough MIL-STD 810H rating on account of its robust magnesium aluminium alloy that weighs 1.47kg.

In essence, the ASUS ExpertBook B7 Flip is a 14-inch laptop with a 360-degree hinge that lets it convert from a laptop to a display and a tablet as needed with the ability to customise it to exact specifications based on customer requirements.

Assuming you dial in everything with the highest specifications, the ExpertBook B7 Flip can be acquired with a 14-inch QHD+ (2,560 x 1,600 pixels) resolution touchscreen with a 16:10 aspect ratio, 60Hz refresh rate and stylus support though a 14-inch FHD+ variant is possible. Powering the laptop is up to a 12th Gen Intel Core i7-1270P 2.2GHz processor with vPro as well as non vPro and 12th Gen Intel Core i5 options. You can also kit it out with up to 64GB DDR5, 4800MHz RAM and up to a 2TB PCIe 4.0 SSD. 

The ExpertBook B7 Flip also has a surprisingly comprehensive array of ports with a pair of Thunderbolt 4 Type-C ports for charging and outputting to a 4K display, a HDMI 2.0b, a pair of USB Type A ports, a mini DP and a combo audio jack.

Other mod-cons include a fingerprint/power button, a webcam shield for the 720P webcam with two-way AI noise cancelling mics and an IR camera for Windows Hello, stereo speakers tuned by Harman Kardon, fast WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2.

Of note is the addition of a 13MP ‘world-facing’ camera mounted at the top of the keyboard an ASUS Antibacterial Guard coating on the keyboard to squelch bacteria and for added peace of mind.

Optionally, you can spec it out with a stylus, 5G connectivity and an TPM 2.0 module for additional security. Keeping it powered is a 63WHr Li-polymer battery juiced by a 65W USB-C charger.
