Asus ExpertBook P5 with Copilot+ and Intel Core Ultra Series 2 CPU launched in Malaysia
Asus has just launched their latest ExpertBook P5 P5405 business laptop which packs the latest Intel Core Ultra series 2 processors as well as Copilot+ AI support. Also launched alongside the ExpertBook P5 P5405 is the more mainstream and affordable Copilot enabled ExpertBook P1 which comes in 14-inch and 15-inch sizes.
ASUS ExpertBook P5 Specs and Price
In terms of hardware, the Asus ExpertBook P5 P5405 comes with a compact 14-inch 2.5K 144Hz IPS LCD display with a tall 16:10 aspect ratio and 100% sRGB colour gamut as well as 400 nits peak brightness.
Powering the ExpertBook P5 is an Intel Core 7 258V processor capable of up to 47 NPU TOPS paired with Intel Arc Graphics 140V integrated graphics, 32GB LPDDR5X integrated RAM and a 1TB M.2 PCIe 4.0 SSD with an additional spare M.2 2280 SSD slot for future upgrades. For video calls, the laptop has a 1080p IR camera while a large 63Wh battery that is quoted for up to 28 hours of battery life.
On top of Copilot+ AI capabilities, the laptop also has a bevy of unique AI features including ASUS AI ExpertMeet that make video calls and work meetings more productive. Among the sundry AI ExpertMeet features include AI Meeting Minutes that can capture meeting summaries and transcriptions, AI Translated Subtitles for seamless real time translations across multiple languages and a Watermark feature that can add it to video calls for added security.
The ExpertBook P5 also has enhanced security too with their ExpertGuardian BIOS which ensures protection against firmware attacks with five-year support for BIOS and driver updates. For added peace of mind, the ExpertBook P5 P5405 has an aluminium chassis rated for MIL-STD-810H for extremes of temperature and moderate drops up to 120cm to the deck.
In Malaysia, the Asus ExpertBook P5 P5405 is now available nationwide and is priced at RM6859 inclusive of 3 years of free on-site international warranty, 3 years of battery warranty, 1 year of local accidental damage protection as well as 3 years of complimentary McAfee+ Premium antivirus protection. Asus ExpertBook P1 P1403 and P1503 Specs and Price
While retaining a business focus, the Asus ExpertBook P1 has more pedestrian prices and a more diverse and modest spec sheet for larger scale deployments.
In terms of hardware, the ExpertBook P1 comes with either a 14-inch or 15-inch 1080p display, either a 13th Gen Intel Core i5-13500H or Intel Core i7-13700H processor, up to 16GB DDR5 RAM with the option for upgrades up to 64GB RAM, a 512GB SSD with an additional spare SSD slot for storage upgrades down the line and up to Intel Iris Xe graphics. Keeping the laptop powered is a 63Wh battery with a USB-C adaptor for easy charging in the field.
Much like the higher end ExpertBook P5, the P1 also has the AI ExpertMeet suite for live translations, transcriptions of meetings and easier summarisation of text. The ExpertBook P1 also has a MIL-STD 810H rating for its aluminium chassis to ensure resistance to extremes of temperature and damage along with a free 3-year McAfee+ Premium antivirus security policy.
In Malaysia, the ExpertBook P1 P1403 with a 14-inch display with an i5-13500H CPU and 8GB RAM as well as a 512GB SSD retails for RM3,799. Alternatively, you can also get it with an Intel Core i7-13700H CPU and 16GB RAM as well as a 512GB SSD for RM4,759.
