ASUS TUF Dash F15 gaming laptop redefines awesome with RTX 3070 GPU and 16 hours battery life at CES 2021
In the hunt for the elusive grail of better gaming performance, the new ASUS TUF Dash F15 gaming laptop revealed at CES 2021 may just be the current pinnacle of lightness, gaming goodness and value as it packs the cutting edge of tech including 11th Gen Intel Core CPUs and the latest RTX 30 series graphics.
ASUS TUF Dash F15 Specifications
While any brand can shoehorn high-end components into a laptop, ASUS has managed to do so without compromising portability or performance. The successor to last year’s TUF Gaming A15 that we reviewed last year, the TUF Dash F15 is intended as a durable, portable and high-powered gaming rig with a rather military-looking aesthetic with angular edges and sharp accents.
This tacticool look isn’t for show, the ASUS TUF Dash F15’s chassis is rated for a MIL-STD-810H standards for durability and the ability to survive accidental knocks and bumps.

Crammed into a casing that’s just 19.9mm thin and weighing 2kg, the TUF Dash 15 is configurable with the latest 11th Gen Intel Core i7-11375H processors and up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 graphics card with 8GB GDDR6 VRAM.
The fait accompli here is that ASUS has added in some impressive cooling tech to keep something this powerful running. Integrated into the TUF Dash F15 is a heat spreader and five copper heat pipes that vent into four heatsinks and out through four outlets expedited by dual 83-blade fans made of liquid crystal polymer that are made to be whisper silent in Silent mode when internal temperatures drop to under 50°C.
To ensure it’s ideal for video calls and in-game voice chats, ASUS has added AI Noise cancellation that squelches ambient background noise that runs off the CPU to minimise resource drain on the GPU.
The 15.6-inch Full HD display can be configured with up to a 240Hz refresh rate and 3ms response time and Adaptive-Sync support. The ASUS TUF Dash 15 is also equipped with 16GB DDR4 3,200MHz RAM out of the box with a spare SODIMM slot for an additional 16GB for up to 32GB RAM in total. It also packs two SSD bays with up to 1TB of storage.
Connectivity options are comprehensive, including WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity, a Thunderbolt 4 port for charging, an Ethernet port, a trio of USB 3.2 ports and an audio jack.
Keeping the ASUS TUF Dash F15 powered is a 76Wh battery that is rated for 16.6 hours of battery life and charged by the aforementioned Thunderbolt 4 Type-C port with a 50% charge in just 30 minutes.
Colour choices for the ASUS TUF Dash 15 revolve around either a shade of Moonlight White or Eclipse Gray while the keyboard itself sports blue backlighting.
