Asus VivoBook Pro 15 OLED M3500 OLED with RTX 3050 now in Malaysia from RM4,299

Content creation is big business now and laptops that have the processing power and displays to tackle it are selling like hotcakes.

For those looking to dabble in the field as the next YouTuber or videographer, Asus is issuing an affordable offering that has the latest AMD 5000 series processors, a beefy NVIDIA RTX 3050 mobile GPU and a luscious OLED display dubbed the Asus VivoBook Pro 15 OLED M35000 series for the Malaysia market with prices that start from RM4,299.

Seeing as colour accuracy is paramount, the Asus VivoBook Pro 15 OLED M35000 series laptops have a 15.6-inch 600-nit Full HD (1,920 x 1080) OLED display that has been Pantone validated for colour accuracy, has 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut reproduction, features a 60Hz refresh rate and a relatively generous 84% screen-to-body ratio. 

For Malaysia, Asus will be issuing the VivoBook Pro 15 OLED M3500 in three variants that differ in terms of how much RAM and what AMD processor they have on board though all of them will have an identical 15.6-inch Full HD OLED display as well as an NVIDIA GeForce RTX3050 graphics card and a 512GB PCIe SSD. 

To keep all this hardware cool, Asus is integrating their IceCool Plus cooling system which uses a pair of cooling fans to vent heat from the GPU and CPU.

All variants will also ship with a free copy of Office Home and Student 2019. Other mod-cons include a top mounted HD webcam that has a privacy shield slider, stereo speakers tuned by Harman Kardon and the laptops all feature the latest WiFi 6 along with a 63Wh battery keeping things powered. 

Asus VivoBook Pro 15 OLED M3500 series price and specifications in Malaysia

The top of the line VivoBook Pro 15 OLED M3500 variant will have an AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX 3.3GHz processor paired with 16GB 3,200MHz DDR4 RAM soldered in with the aforementioned FHD OLED display, RTX 3050 GPU and 512GB SSD for RM5,199.

The midrange variant will feature a similar configuration but downgrades the processor to an AMD Ryzen 7 5800H 3.2GHz CPU for RM4,799. The entry level version of the VivoBook Pro 15 OLED M3500 costs RM4,299 but uses an AMD Ryzen 5 5600H CPU and has just 8GB 3,200MHz RAM onboard.
