Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is coming- here’s what you need to know

The next addition to the Call of Duty franchise is here and rather than a Modern Warfare sequel as per the usual roster, we’re now getting a direct sequel to last year’s Black Ops 6 dubbed as Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 that takes several years ahead in the future in the Black Ops timeline.

Black Ops 7 – The Story So Far

This time around, the story continues on from Black Ops 2 with baddie Raul Menendez back to cause chaos. While everyone is twiddling their thumbs, a global tech giant called The Guild acts like a modern PMC complete with their own private army to stand up to Menendez though things aren’t as it seems. Naturally, this is where you come into the picture as to how and why Menendez is back and what is the Guild’s true motive.

Black Ops 7 – Endgame

In addition to the single player campaign that comprises 11 missions , Black Ops 7 will have Endgame, a new co-op campaign gameplay experience that features up to 32 players on Avalon, a map that resembles a denser urban Warzone map with hostile AI mooks guarding key areas.

In a way somewhat similar to the earlier Modern Warfare 3: Zombies map, you’ll need to get bigger and better hardware and level up to be able to reach harder, tougher zones on the Avalon map with four zones of escalating danger and loot. Much like the DMZ maps, you’ll have to exfil out of the map via a dropship to make it out with any salvaged loot from the map.

Players will also get to choose from 24 different operators and the option to choose from a Major and Minor ability. Major abilities include the ever popular Hand Cannon, Active Camo to temporarily cloak from hostiles and the use of a single-shot grenade launcher called the War Machine. Minor abilities included a superjump ability called Kinetic Jump, the ability to hack enemies and equipment with the Black Hat ability and more.

Black Ops 7 – Multiplayer and Zombie modes

Beyond these new features, Black Ops 7 will of course feature the usual much-loved multiplayer modes with the launch feature a new Overload mode which requires you to bring a demolition charge to the enemy zone to sabotage them along ith the usual Team Deathmatch, Domination, Search and Destroy, Kill Confirmed, Free-for-All, Hardpoint, Kill Order, Control and Face Off Moshpit. The game will feature 16 6 vs 6 maps at launch and also two large Skirmish maps along with a new Nuketown 2025 map.

In addition to these modes, the game will also have a Zombie mode too with the old quartet of Nikolai, Dempsey, Richtofen and Takeo back again for another round of undead stomping. You also get the Black Ops 6 as well with Grey, Carver, Maya and Weaver as selected characters.

In terms of hardware, here’s the minimum specs needed to run Black Ops 7:
