New Dell PowerEdge XE8812 server with NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL4 architecture to launch in 2027

Dell Technologies has just revealed their new Dell PowerEdge XE8812 server, their latest addition to the Dell AI Factory with NVIDIA line-up that features NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL4 architecture to handle demanding HPC and AI workloads.

At present, Dell AI Factory has more than 5,000 customers worldwide with increasing adoption to meet the growing demands of AI-driven workloads in a number of endeavours from engineering to genomic science.

What is the Dell PowerEdge XE8812 server?

As the latest addition to the Dell AI Factory line-up, the new Dell PowerEdge XE8812 server delivers a generational leap in compute density and memory capacity, the Dell PowerEdge XE8812 utilises NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL4 architecture, allowing for expanded host memory, 176 cores, more GPU memory and more compute.

For the uninitiated, NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL4 is designed for direct liquid-cooled server racks like the Dell PowerEdge XE8812 and offers enhanced performance gains compared to NVIDIA’s older architecture.

Up close, the Dell PowerEdge XE8812 also features an ORv3-style rack that allows for up to 144 GPUs, 300kW+ power support and 100% direct-liquid cooled CPUs and GPUs for optimal energy efficiency. 

IT teams can take advantage of Integrated Dell Remote Access Controller (iDRAC) for rapid deployment, upgrade and monitoring across the globe while Dell Integrated Rack Controller and OpenManage Enterprise allows for real-time telemetry and automated leak detection across the broader system. 

To expedite rapid deployment, Dell PowerRack allows organisations to deploy large-scale HPC and AI systems with lower-risk, factory-integrated, pre-validated rack scale systems. In addition, Dell PowerRack integration and Dell ProDeploy services helps save on tedious integration with production-ready racks that allow for live workloads in just over six hours.
