New Dell XPS 14 and XPS 16 laptops announced at CES 2026
Dell took to the stage at CES 2026 to announce that their premium XPS line is back and better than ever with two new offerings – the Dell XPS 14 and the Dell XPS 16.

Once shelved in favour of a Dell Premium and Dell Pro branding, Dell has walked back the new brand names in favour of the more recognised brand that has been an institution for corporate road warriors for years.

The new XPS line-up feature CNC aluminium chassis, recycled steel in the hinges, recycled cobalt and copper in the batteries and tough Gorilla glass protecting the display while retaining the characteristic sleek design. This time around, Dell has integrated feedback and the new XPS 14 and XPS 16 feature modular USB-C ports to make repairs easier and also have easy-to-remove keyboards.

Beyond materials improvement and enhanced modularity, the new XPS 14 and XPS 16 are currently Dell’s slimmest laptops, measuring in at 14.7mm thin. Both laptops are also lighter than their predecessors by about a pound (450g) with the XPS 14 weighing about 1.3kg while the XPS 16 tips the scales slightly more in at 1.6kg.

Both the Dell XPS 14 and XPS 16 feature your choice of either 2K LCD panels with 1-120Hz refresh rates or tandem OLED panels which offer richer colours. Powering both laptops are Intel Core Ultra series 3 processors with integrated Interl Arc graphics as well as improved thermals for cooler, quieter performance.
According to Dell, the XPS 14 and XPS 16 will be available in Graphite with a Shimmer colourway available later in the year for the Malaysia market from January 2026 onwards. There will also be an XPS 14 with Ubuntu 24.04 later in the year along with an XPS 13 model later in the year.
