Diablo II Resurrected Gets Sweet Balance Patch After 11 Years
Diablo II is certainly a bit long in the tooth seeing as it first debuted at the turn of the century in 2000 with the last patch appearing 11 years ago.
Fortunately, they haven’t quite forgotten one of their most popular games and they released a remastered version called Diablo II Resurrected last year. Now, Blizzard is tweaking the balance of their classic game further with an imminent Patch 2.4 that adds in a slew of changes and tweaks across the game.
The updated Patch 2.4 update for Diablo II Resurrected will add new Horadric Cube recipes, changes to Set Items, additional Rune Words to add to kit and upgrades to the faithful, if somewhat expendable mercenary companions that diligently followed you around in the game as a sort of pack mule and mobile meat shield.
Another addition to the patch are balance changes to all classes which took place 11 years ago in Patch 1.13c in the original Diablo II. The game will also have a new Ladder season starting this year to win special ladder-only Rune Words.
For the uninitiated, Diablo II Resurrected is a graphical remaster to 4K of the original Diablo II game for modern platforms with the same balance settings and in terms of content integrates the original game and the Lord of Destruction expansion pack.
According to Blizzard, Patch 2.4 will launch on a Public Test Realm (PTR) first to sort out any potential balance issues. For more details you can check out their indepth post on the upcoming patch changes on Blizzard here.
