Powerful Dyson 360 Vis Nav robot vacuum, Submarine wet vacuum and more aim to make home cleaning in Malaysia a breeze
Dyson has been trailblazing a path in haircare with their latest Airstrait wet hair straightener but they’re now reinforcing their presence in their most realm they are best known for – vacuum cleaners as they’ve launched not one but three new offerings that are unlike anything else in the market. In their latest announcement, Dyson revealed their new 360 Vis Nav robot vacuum – their first such design for Southeast Asia, Dyson’s first ever wet vacuum cleaner that mops as it cleans called the Dyson Submarine and their most powerful cordless vacuum ever – the Dyson Gen5detect.
As an afterthought, they’ve also released a larger, more powerful air purifier called the Dyson Purifier Big+Quiet Formaldehyde. Here’s how the new floorcare line-up aims to clean house with the competition – literally…

Keeping a house spick and span is an arduous task that takes up a significant amount of time in a given day that could be spent on other, more productive tasks like catching up on sleep. Fortunately, the Dyson 360 Vis Nav aims to address this oversight as it’s a robot vacuum that aims to diligently, efficiently and thoroughly clean your home with Dyson’s typical attention to detail with suction power six times more powerful than the current competition.
Done up in their classic royal blue, grey and purple livery, the Dyson 360 Vis Nav robot vacuum has a battery of sensors that include a fish-eye hemispheric lens along with 26 sensors collectively dubbed the Simultaneous Localisation and Mapping (SLAM) technology to have a 360-degree view of a room and allow for a through effective clean while avoiding obstacles.
What makes the Dyson 360 Vis Nav robot vacuum uniquely different is that it is capable of detecting the edges of a room and redirecting suction power from the front-mounted vacuum to the sides to clean the edges of a room; a challenge that no other robot vacuum has been able to surmount easily. The robot vacuum is also surprisingly mobile with the ability to climb up to 21mm and go under furniture up to 99mm in height.
On top of the SLAM sensor array to get about, the Dyson 360 Vis Nav also hosts a set of acoustic Piezo Sensors that first saw service on the Dyson V12 Detect Slim to actually identify the size and type of dust particles so that it can intelligently adjust its own suction power for more effective, thorough cleaning. For academic curiosity, owners can also see the state and type of dust sucked up by the Dyson 360 Vis Nav via its LCD display or via the paired MyDyson app.
Once it sucks up enough dirt or does about 50 minutes of cleaning, whichever comes first, the robot vacuum is smart enough to trundle back to its charging station to empty the dust and recharge before moving onto the next part of your home.
Dyson Purifier Big+Quiet Formaldehyde – Bigger, Better, Quieter Air Purification
If you’re looking to clean a large, open-plan space like an office or a huge living room, the Dyson Purifier Big+Quiet Formaldehyde is the right tool for the job. Unlike its more modestly sized siblings that are intended to clean smaller spaces like a bedroom or whatnot, the Dyson Purifier Big+Quiet Formaldehyde is capable of delivering a whopping huge 10-metre projection of allergen free, purifier air around it.
It also has a new carbon dioxide projector and enhanced, quieter operation that is just under 56 decibels, making it one of their quietest air purifiers ever; hence its name. The built-in HEPA H13 filter is in keeping with their other offerings with the ability to capture up to 99.95% of ultrafine particles while an integrated swappable K-Carbon filter is able to filter out gas pollutants while a Catalytic Oxidation filter that can last a lifetime is able to purge formaldehyde effective from its immediate vicinity.
Dyson Gen5detect Cordless Vacuum – most powerful cordless vacuum ever
The successor to their Dyson V15, the new Dyson Gen5detect currently rules the roost as their most powerful cordless vacuum ever made as it packs their fifth generation Hyperdymium motor for even more powerful suction power than ever before. Like its predecessors, the vacuum has a sealed HEPA filtration filter capable of capturing up to 99.99% of particles down to just 0.1 microns – thinner than the width of a human hair.
Of note is the addition of a new Fluffy Optic cleaner head akin to their prior dust detecting laser that has twice the range and brightness to see double the amount of dust. On paper, the Dyson Gen5detect is rated for up to 70 hours of run time before needing a recharge which is exceptional by any measure of the word.
Dyson Submarine – their first ever wet vacuum
Arguably the most exciting offering next to the Dyson 360 Vis Nav, the new Dyson Submarine is a combination of a vacuum and mop with their first ever wet roller head that is capable of offering a thorough, wet clean on floors without drowning the surface in water by suctioning water off a built-in 300ml water tank. To achieve this optimum level of hydration, the Dyson Submarine has an eight-point hydration system that uses a special pressurised chamber for even water distribution across the full width of the roller.
On top of sucking up fine dust and debris, the roller head has a series of microfibres across its length capable of removing spills and tough stains alike with extreme prejudice. According to Dyson, a full tank of water and charge enables the Dyson Submarine to clean up to 110 square metre of flooring before needing a refill and a recharge. Dirty water is effectively contained in a separate waste tank for easy disposal.
