Malaysia’s humid climate and our local preference for hard floors in our homes creates a unique cleaning scenario which requires a spotless, dust-free clean; this requires a thorough vacuuming and a mopdown too. Fortunately, the Dyson V12s Detect Slim Submarine does both tasks at the same time as it can not only vacuum the floor but mop it too.
What is the Dyson V12s Detect Slim Submarine
Unlike a standard Dyson cordless vacuum like the V15 Detect Slim that was launched earlier this year, the Dyson V12s Detect Slim Submarine or, as they’re wont to call it, the Dyson Submarine has a special wet roller head designed to deliver the precise amount of water to clean up tough spills, stains and food crumbs without drowning the floor in water.
To achieve this feat, Dyson implemented eight evenly spaced water jets along the wet roller head that release 18ml of water every minute from a pressurised chamber fed from a 300ml clean water tank for even distribution. Dirty water is then sucked up through to a separate 360ml tank for later removal.
Where the Dyson Submarine beats the competition is that it integrates these new features and retains the same powerful suction and cleaning capabilities from their traditional cordless vacuum designs including their renowned Hyperdymium motor that can deliver up to 150 air watts of suction and run at speeds of 125,000rpm.
This is paired with their HEPA filtration system that captures 99.99% of particles as small as 0.1 microns. It even retains the Acoustic Dust sensor from the V15 Detect Absolute that is able to show the size and type of particles sucked up in the middle of a cleaning session to get a better idea of how thorough a clean you’re performing.
In terms of pricing, the Dyson V12s Detect Slim Submarine is priced at RM4,499 while the Dyson V12s Detect Slim Submarine Complete that adds in additional accessories retails for RM4,899.
