Epson Lifestudio Pop and Flex series projectors launched in Malaysia; prices start from RM2,989

Epson has launched their Lifestudio Pop and Lifestudio Flex projectors in Malaysia that blend large projection sizes in compact form factors. The Epson Lifestudio Pop consists of the EF-61G and EF-62N while the Lifestudio Flex consists of two models – the EF-71 and EF-72.

The entire Epson Lifestudio series all support Google TV and are also compatible with their own free Epson Projection App to easily cast content from other devices.

The new line-up also features BOSE-tuned speakers as well as featuring Epson’s own 3LCD Triple Core Engine that uses dedicated red, green and blue LEDs to ensure exceptional colour rendition and brightness. The Epson Triple Core Engine also actively works to mitigate the rainbow effect seen in single chip projectors and also works to reduce speckling too.

Epson Lifestudio Pop EF-62N and EF61G specs

Resembling a traditional projector with a flat, squarish form factor, the Epson Lifestudio Pop Plus EF-62N is able to offer 4K Pro-UHD resolution video with up to 700 Lumens brightness and is capable of projecting up to a 150-inch image onscreen. 

The more affordable Lifestudio Pop EF-61G has mostly similar specifications and design but offers up to 1080p resolution video with 700 Lumens and also throw up to a 150-inch projection on the wall. Both Lifestudio Pop models also weigh 1.6kg.

Epson Lifestudio Flex EF-72 and Lifestudio Flex EF-71 specs

Designed with a more unique cube-shaped form factor atop a mini pedestal that allows users to angle it all the way upwards for ceiling-oriented viewing, the Epson Lifestudio Flex Plus EF-72 offers crisp 4K Pro-UHD resolution video with up to a 150-inch projected screen size, is brighter than its compatriots with up to 1,000 ISO Lumens brightness and also has an auto low latency mode (ALLM) for gamers. 

The Flex EF-72 also has a number of additional features including the ability to be powered off a conventional power bank with a minimum requirement of 100W output.

According to Epson, a 20,000mAh power bank offers up to 2 hours of playback time on the Flex EF-72 which is sufficient for going through a few episodes of Fallout. Another unique aspect of the Flex Plus EF-72 is the inclusion of a series of ambient mood lights on the undersight that can be tweaked to taste.

The Epson Lifestudio Flex EF-71 has a similar design as the EF-72 with a tiltable stand that is more modestly priced but has slightly lower resolution with 1080p video and the option to project up to 150-inch footage onscreen with a lower 700 Lumens brightness. Unfortunately, it lacks the ambient lighting and the ability to be powered off a powerbank like theFlex Plus  EF-72.

Optionally, both the Epson Lifestudio Flex EF-71 and EF-72 both feature an optional waist-height stand that is about 80cm in height. 

Epson Lifestudio Pop and Lifestudio Flex price in Malaysia

In terms of pricing, the LifeStudio Pop EF-61G is priced at RM2,989 while the LifeStudio Pop Plus EF-62N is priced at RM4,099. The Epson LifeStudio Flex EF-71 is priced at RM4,159 while the top of the line LifeStudio Flex Plus EF-72 is priced at RM5,099. 

All four models are now available nationwide in Malaysia but for a limited time from today till 31 March 2026, Epson is offering special promotions prices for all four products with the Lifestudio Pop EF-61G for RM1,989, the Lifestudio Pop Plus EF-62N for RM2,839, the Life Studio Flex for RM3,838 and comes with the floor stand for free.
