Final Fantasy XVI Malaysia preorder price and details now live; arriving as a PS5 exclusive on 22 June 2023 from RM299
The next edition to one of the world’s longest-running RPG epics has just been announced at the Game Awards Show – Final Fantasy XVI will be arriving next year with a slated global launch on 22nd June 2023.
At the Game Awards Show, producer Naoki Yoshida premiered Final Fantasy XVI with a short trailer that teased snippets of gameplay with cutscenes titled ‘Revenge’.
The game has you as one Clive Rosfield titled with the lofty title of ‘First Shield of Rosaria’ who has a very specific job description as a bodyguard for a somewhat ill-fated noble. Needless to say, he botches the job which kicks off the premise of the game against a big bad known as Ifrit the Dark Eikon. You can check out the official trailer for Final Fantasy XVI below:

At the global showcase, Yoshida also revealed that the game is available for preorder and that it will be a PlayStation 5 exclusive. Fortunately, it’s also available for Final Fantasy XVI Malaysia preorder is up and running on the online PS STore with early preorders getting extra free DLC to sweeten the pot.
The standard Blu-Ray and digital versions will cost RM299. The Digital Deluxe Edition costs RM379 while the Blu-Ray Deluxe Edition costs RM429.
If you have deep pockets, you can score the Blu-ray Disc Collector’s Edition for RM1,399. For the Collector’s Edition, you get a massive metallic-sheen box illustrated with the artwork of legendary Final Fantasy illustrator Yoshitaka Amano, the game itself on Blu-Ray, a special Phoenix vs Ifrit statue of both creatures duking it out, a special set of 8 Eikon pins, a SteelBook case with Clive Rosfield on the cover, a cloth map of the game world of Valisthea and a special Blood Sword Firion blade DLC.
Those who hop into the Final Fantasy Malaysia preorder early will get the Braveheart weapon DLC and the Cait Sith’s Charm Gil boost accessory on the house.
At present, only the Final Fantasy standard and digital deluxe versions are available for preorder in Malaysia and the rest of the world while physical versions and the Collector’s Edition will start at a later date. You can check out the official Final Fantasy XVI page here.
