Haier launches new home appliances including massive 98-inch H98S900UX QLED TV in Malaysia

Home appliance brand Haier rolled out a variety of new products across five categories that encompass their popular range of refrigerators, washing machines, dryers and led by their absolutely massive H98S900UX OLED TV at the HOMEDEC 2023 exhibition at KLCC in Malaysia.

Haier H98S900UX QLED TV highlights and specs

Both gorgeous and massive in equal measure, the titanic 98-inch H98S900UX QLED TV has 4K resolution, a 120hz refresh rate and a 6.5ms response time with the QLED panel able to offer precise local dimming for exceptional blacks and brilliant whites. The TV also comes kitted out with Dolby Vision IQ for optimised per-scene footage and also runs Google TV and Chromecast support under the hood. Also available is the slightly smaller 65-inch H65C900UX OLED TV which has 4K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate and also features similar Dolby Vision IQ for optimised video based on current content and ambient brightness.

It also features a built-in Dolby Atmos sound system with Harman Kardon 2.1 surround speakers for richer audio. Running under the hood is Google TV along with Chromecast for streaming content from other devices. In Malaysia, the 65-inch H65C900UX OLED TV retails for RM15,999.

What else did Haier launch?

Leading their refrigerator category is the HRF-689SI(GE) side-by-side refrigerator that has twin inverter tech to save on power consumption and which features a generously 689L capacity via two opening doors with a unique anti-bacterial coating that reduces cross-contamination from external sources to food stored in the fridge, effectively eliminating up to 99% bacterial cross contamination.

To deal with nasty smells, the fridge also has Haier’s H-DEO Fresh tech that integrates ceramic and copper ion antibacterial filters to prevent food from absorbing flavours from other food. In Malaysia, the Haier HRF-689SI(GE) retails for RM3,789.

To handle large laundry loads and to dry them, Haier has also launched their new HW150-BP14986ES8 front-loading washing machine with a 15kg capacity and which uses their own Super Inverter technology to save on your leccy bill. A slightly smaller 12kg variant is also available dubbed the HW120-BP14959S8 that also has Super Inverter technology. The former is priced at RM3,999 while the latter is priced at RM3,499. To offer a fresh dry-clean feel to clothing, Haier also released their HD100-A2939S dryer which has Haet Pump tech that saves up to 56% on energy and ensures clothes stay soft and fluffy. In Malaysia, this costs RM5,199.
