Honor Magic V6 revealed at MWC 2026; foldable with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip and IP68/IP69 resistance

At Mobile World Congress 2026, Honor took the wraps off their latest devices centered around the new Honor Magic V6 foldable as well as their Magic Pad 4 tablet and the new MagicBook Pro 14 laptop.

Taking centre stage, Honor’s new Magic V6 foldable is claimed to be the first flagship foldable with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. This is paired with 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB UFS 4.1 storage depending on region. Running under the hood is the latest Android 16 with Honor’s MagicOS 10 overlay. Keeping the whole phone powered is a hefty 6,660mAh silicon-carbon battery with 80W and 66W wireless charging support.

Beyond its flagship chipset, the Honor Magic V6 is the first foldable to feature IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance in a chassis that weighs just 219g for the white variant while being only 4mm thin when fully unfolded and 8.75mm when closed. 

The main folding mechanism is revamped as well for improved durability and strength with a tougher Super Steel Hinge rated for up to a whopping 500,000 fold and unfolding motions. 

Up front, the Honor Magic V6 gets a 6.52-inch LTPO AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution, a 1-120Hz variable refresh rate and up to 6,000 nits peak local brightness that is also protected by an Honor Anti-scratch NanoCrystal Shield coating.

The main folding cover display consists of a 7.95-inch LTPO 2.0 AMOLED panel with 2,172 x 2,352 pixels resolution , a 1-120Hz variable refresh rate and 5,000 nits peak brightness. It also notably has a 44% reduced crease depth compared to the Honor Magic V5. Both screens support stylus input.

On the imaging front, the Honor Magic V6 has a mostly similar set of specifications with the rear featuring the same 50MP main camera and 64MP telephoto camera from the Honor Magic V5 with the notable exceptional of the 50MP ultrawide camera which now gets an f/2.2 aperture versus the f/2.0 in the V5. The front and main screen selfie cameras are both the same with 20MP cameras.

At its unveiling at MWC 2026, Honor revealed that the Honor Magic V6 will come in white, red, gold and black colourways and is slated for an initial launch in China first with global deployment slated for the later half of the year.
