Honor N-series redesignated as flagship-status phones; to get Snapdragon Elite CPUs
Honor has been getting the rumour mill into a frenzy with teasers of their upcoming phone with a new line-up slated for imminent deployment in Malaysia. They’ve now dropped another hint that their next phone will be from their Honor N series line-up.
The brand also announced that the Honor N series phones, which previously was a solid midrange category that consisted of examples like the Honor 400 series and Honor 600 series launched last year, will now be designated as a flagship-grade series in their roster.
What is the new Honor N-series about?
According to Honor, the next Honor N series phone will use a flagship-grade Snapdragon Elite-series chipset; a significant step up from prior examples such as their Honor 400 Pro launched last year which had a slightly older Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 3 processor. Interestingly, their most recent Honor N-series phone – the Honor 600 Lite ran on a midrange Dimensity 7100 Elite chipset.
Beyond the mention of a Snapdragon Elite-chipset to power the phone, Honor has given a few other hints including a statement that the new phone will ‘redefine long range photography with a re-engineered telephoto system that outperforms its predecessor in power and clarity’ and that it will have ‘industry-leading AI imaging’ with an AI Image-to-Video feature that animates still photos into short movie snippets.
Other features include a premium design that will notably have a bold orange colourway. We’ll keep you posted on any details of the new Honor N-series as they surface though it won’t be much longer as they’re slating a full reveal this 9 April 2026.
