Honor X9b Malaysia launch confirmed for November with early bird specials

The HONOR X9b 5G Malaysia launch has been confirmed with Honor Malaysia stating that the gala debut of the phone will be on 1st November 2023 at 7.00PM local time in a live streamed event. While there’s no announcement of price as yet, the phone has been making the rounds for its exceptional durability and drop resistance that trumps its predecessor the Honor X9a.

What do we know about the Honor X9b Malaysia launch?

To date, the Honor X9b has a 5-star all-angle drop resistance certification from Switzerland’s SGS authority. In a prior live event, the Honor X9b was able to be used to smash dozens of wooden blocks in twain and was able to resist hundreds of live paintball rounds. The phone is also rated for IP53 dust and water resistance too.

In terms of hardware, the Honor X9b has a 6.78-inch 120Hz curved AMOLED display with 100% DCI-P3, a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor running Android 13 paired with 12GB RAM and 8GB of virtual RAM assigned off the onboard storage for a grand total of 20GB RAM as well as 256GB of storage.

The rear comes with a triple camera array with a 108MP primary camera, a 5MP ultra wide angle camera and a 2MP  macro camera while the front has a 16MP selfie camera. Keeping it powered is a 5,800mAh battery with 35W wired fast charging.
