HONOR X9e Pro dominates the competition with preorders sold out nationwide. Here’s why Malaysians are clamouring for this midrange king!

As a testament to its immense popularity among Malaysian consumers, the latest addition to the tough HONOR X9 series, dubbed the HONOR X9e Pro that has just launched in Malaysia has completely sold out its preorders in just 7 days which exceeded HONOR’s expectations severalfold.

This isn’t a one time fluke as the HONOR X9 series has garnered an impressive ‘Three Consecutive years as Malaysia’s Midrange Sales Champion’ certification from ASEAN Records and Asia Records as well as a popular vote by consumers as ‘Pilihan Utama Rakyat Malaysia’.

Since the series inception in 2022 with the launch of the original HONOR X9, Honor has made each successive generation tougher and better value than ever before while retaining exceptional durability, large displays and long battery life at midrange prices.

As the first ever X9 series phone to boast a ‘Pro’ designation, the HONOR X9e Pro brings a raft of potent upgrades that back up its new designation and why its selling faster than hotcakes. Here’s nine reasons why Malaysians are clamouring for this midrange king!

Battery Dominance – Mammoth endurance at 11,000mAh that’s larger than many power banks

While a selected number of smartphones cap out at a 10,000mAh battery, the new HONOR X9e Pro dials things to eleven with the industry’s largest battery at 11,000mAh for exceptional battery life that’s ahead of the competition.

Based on official HONOR test results, the 11,000mAh battery is able to offer up to 66.8 hours of video playback or up to 164.5 hours of music playback which is more than enough to get through a long weekend.

Even better, the HONOR X9e Pro also offers 80W wired charging and 27W reverse wired charging to charge other devices including phones too. When other phones run out of juice, the HONOR X9e Pro still has it where it counts to save the day.

Durability Dominance – 5 Star SGS Premium Performance Certification of Drop & Crush Resistance Rating

The HONOR X9 has set the bar for toughness in smartphones but the new HONOR X9e Pro takes it a step further, leveraging and integrating the crash-beam principle used in high performance race cars into its design.

By leveraging a full-surface adhesive bonding solution, the HONOR X9e Pro has been tested to survive drops across 8 points of impact across the device and in drops on over 10 real-world ground surfaces, earning it an impressive 5 Star SGS Premium Performance Certification of Drop & Crush Resistance rating – the first time that this certification has ever been awarded to a smartphone.

In a prebriefing event, HONOR demonstrated that the phone was able to survive and continue to function even after direct impacts from rubber pellets fired from airsoft guns which is a testament to its toughness.

Water Resistance Dominance – Up to 10 Meters Water Immersion with UnderWater Photography Mode

Many higher end phones integrate IP68 dust and water resistance as a matter of course but the HONOR X9e Pro holds a triple certification with IP68, IP69 as well as an IP69K dust and water resistance rating. Even better, the HONOR X9e Pro features up to 10 metres of water resistance, a capability that many competing flagship phones several times its price point lack.

To achieve this water resistance capability, HONOR has integrated design techniques inspired by submarine waterproofing architecture with the HONOR X9e Pro featuring an outer pressure-resistant shell, multi-layer waterproofing, compartmentalised sealing and precision drainage channels to ensure that the phone survives unscathed even with an accidental drop in water.

Warranty Dominance – Worry-Free 730-Day Protection Policy with Two Years Peace of Mind

The HONOR X9a pioneered an innovative 180-Day Crack Protection policy when it first launched in 2023. With each successive generation that came after it – the HONOR X9b, HONOR X9c and the HONOR X9d, HONOR kept improving overall coverage and protection.

With the new HONOR X9e Pro, the brand aims to go for an end run with an unprecedented 730-Day Front & Back Crack Protection policy, a 730-Day Liquid Damage Protection policy as well as a 1-year Extended Warranty, all at no extra cost from HONOR.

In the unlikely event there’s liquid damage or a cracked display, the HONOR X9e Pro goes straight to repair, no questions asked. Combined, this level of coverage is hard to find anywhere else at this price point.

Brightness Dominance – 10,000 nits Peak Brightness for Gaming Under the Sun

Gaming, let alone viewing a smartphone display under direct sunlight especially under Malaysia’s bright noonday sun is a dicey proposition but the HONOR X9e Pro nips that problem in the bud as its display features up to 10,000 nits peak brightness, a 67% increase over the previous generation.

With a screen this bright, content onscreen stays perfectly clear and legible so there’s no need to squint or angle the screen just to see what’s happening.

Camera Dominance – 108MP Main Camera Meets CIPA 6.0; Flagship-Grade Low Light Shots on a Midranger

The HONOR X9e Pro features a 108MP main camera that comes with a large 1/1.67-inch sensor, 0.64μm pixel size, and f/1.75 aperture along with optical image stabilisation (OIS) to capture steady shots as well as a 5MP ultra wide angle camera.

To elevate low light shooting performance, the 108MP camera also features a CIPA 6.0 rating for stabilisation equivalent to that offered by the popular HONOR 600 Pro to ensure that low light shots no longer come out soft and blurry.

Even better, the HONOR X9e Pro also has AI-driven Underwater Colour Tuning to intelligently adjust blue and green tints so that shots taken underwater thanks to its 10-metre water resistance look vibrant and true-to-life without needing extensive post-processing.

AI Imaging Dominance: No Editing Needed – Turn a Photo Into a Short Video

For better image quality across a variety of scenarios, the HONOR X9e Pro comes with AI Enhanced Night for better low light shots , AI Telephoto for cleaner, optimised zoom shots as well as AI Portrait to ensure portrait shots are optimised. Owners looking to give content a creative twist can take advantage of Motion Trail, Motion Clone and Slow Motion modes.

Best of all, the HONOR X9e Pro has AI Image-to-Video 2.0, allowing users to create a short video from a still image. Even better, users can use written prompts for even more creative results and fun storytelling options.

Performance Dominance: Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 with Hummingbird Architecture 2.0 – Smooth Performance for 72 Months

The HONOR X9e Pro features an efficient Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 processor that is ideal for everyday tasks. This is paired with HONOR’s Hummingbird Architecture 2.0 that combines AI Trajectory Compensation, Page-Level Scheduling and a Kernel Lightweight Engine for app launch speeds that are up to twice as fast as comparable devices.

HONOR also vouches that the HONOR X9e Pro will continue to offer a smooth user experience that will last for 72 months.

Sales Dominance: Three Years Running Midrange Champion

The HONOR X9 series has held the No.1 spot in Malaysia’s midrange market for four consecutive generations and three straight years as certified by Asia Record and ASEAN Record. The HONOR X9e Pro managing to completely sell out its preorders is a testament to its popularity with the most important decisive factor of all – people’s wallets.
