Huawei Pura80 Ultra and Pura80 Pro launched in Malaysia; prices start from RM4,599
Huawei has launched their Pura80 series in Malaysia with the top of the line Pura80 Ultra and Pura80 Pro available for preorders that will come with RM2,978 in free gifts. While the base Pura80 was announced at launch, there’s no official news yet as to when or if it will come to our shores.
Huawei Pura80 Ultra and Pura80 Pro Specs
As Huawei’s latest flagship phones, the Pura80 series is naturally armed for bear with their best hardware including their renowned cameras. While both the Pura80 Pro and Pura80 Ultra seem to have similar silhouettes, they differ in meaningful ways.
Both the Pura80 Pro and Pura80 Ultra feature a 6.8-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a sharp 2,848 x 1,276 resolution, buttery-smooth 1–120Hz refresh rate, ultra-responsive 300Hz touch sampling, and eye-friendly 1,440Hz PWM dimming.
Both models feature IP69 dust and water resistance and notably feature an AI Smart Control button that allows you access to customisable shortcuts that include the camera, the torchlight and more.
Under the hood, they’re powered by the 7nm Kirin 9020 processor, running Huawei’s own EMUI 15 with apps sourced off the Huawei App Gallery. The Pura80 Pro for Malaysia comes with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage while the Pura80 Ultra comes with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage.
Where they differ is their rear camera setups which differ slightly from each other. The Pura80 Pro features a 50MP main camera that has OIS and a variable aperture (f/1.6- f/4.0), a 40MP f/2.2 ultra wide angle camera and a 48MP f/2.1 telephoto camera with 3.7x optical zoom and OIS.
The Pura80 Ultra swaps out the 48MP telephoto camera for a vastly more potent, and also the world’s first dual-lens telephoto system which features a 50MP main camera which has an f/2.4 lens capable of 3.7x optical zoom and an f/2.6 lens tht can zoom up to 9.4x zoom.
Both phones have a 13MP f/2.0 selfie camera and retain a 5,170mAh battery with 100W wired and 80W wireless charging.
Huawei Pura80 Ultra and Pura80 Pro Price
In terms of pricing, the Huawei Pura80 Pro with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage is available for RM4,599 with your choice of a signature deep maroon Glazed Red, a Glazed White and Glazed Black.
The higher end Pura80 Ultra with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage in either Prestige Gold or Golden Black is priced at RM6,599.
Both phones are now available for preorders in Malaysia and those who preorder can get RM1,428 in free gifts that consist of a pair of Huawei FreeBuds Pro 4 wireless earbuds and a one year Huawei Care+ subscription.
In addition, Huawei is showcasing the size and scope of their AppGallery app store with a special Huawei Pura80 Series 2025 Sales Start Campaign from 2 August to 31 December 2025 with prizes worth up to RM2,978 up for grabs on a first-come, first-served basis at participating stores and Huawei online official platforms.
