Huawei Watch Fit 5 Pro launched in Malaysia; yours for RM1,099
Huawei has introduced their latest Watch Fit 5 Pro smartwatch to Malaysia that harkens to their classic style while adding in several refinements that enhance its screen size, endurance and functionality over its predecessor the Watch Fit 4 Pro.

What is the Huawei Watch Fit 5 Pro?
Up front, the Huawei Watch Fit 5 Pro has a 1.92-inch LTPO AMOLED screen with 2.5D curved edges to lend it a more premium look paired with a titanium bezel.
The display itself is protected by sapphire glass, has a peak brightness of 3,000 nits for clarity even under direct sunlight and can adjust between 1-60Hz for more efficient battery life.

At a glance, the Huawei Watch Fit 5 Pro comes with a veritable cornucopia of features including a new mini-workout mode that lets you burn calories in between chores and daily tasks, fall detection when working out and more powerful features in cycling and running mode to cater to enthusiasts.

The popular Golf mode from the earlier Watch Fit models is back with over 17,000 precisely mapped golf courses, a Live Scorecard feature, a competition mode and the ability to offer precise distance measurements on the green. The Huawei Watch FIt 5 Pro is also waterproof as well with the ability to go on free dives up to 40m in depth.
A notable new feature with the Huawei Watch Fit 5 Pro is the ability to to conduct a Diabetes Risk study on users. This is on top of an improved TruSleep 5.0 algorithm for better sleep quality tracking. The smartwatch also includes ECG and pulse wave arrhythmia tracking on top of the usual activity tracking features expected of a smartwatch.
Battery life has also been improved as well with the larger battery offering about 10 days of light use and a week of normal use.

In terms of pricing, the Huawei Watch Fit 5 Pro is yours for RM1,099 and can be acquired in either an orange, black or white colourway with the former having a fabric strap and the latter two featuring a fluoroelastomer strap in matching colours. Preorders require you to plonk down RM50 and which in turn get you RM485 in free gifts that also include an RM100 rebate, further knocking the price down to RM999 for a limited time if you preorder the watch.

Also launched at the same time is its more affordable sibling the Huawei Watch Fit 5 for RM799 that temporarily goes for RM649 ifyou preorder while also getting free gifts worth up to RM578. Huawei also released a new revamp for their Watch Ultimate Design dubbed the Spring Edition for RM17,999. In addition, Huawei also launched the Berry Purple colourway for their FreeClip 2 open-bridge earbuds that retails for RM749 but which temporarily goes for RM699 if you preorder.
