Lenovo launches Ideacentre Y710 Cube and other Y-series gaming rigs
Lenovo today took the wraps off their VR-ready Y710 Cube gaming tower that comes with an Intel core i7-6700 processor running Windows 10 Home, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 GPU, 8GB RAM and sports a 2TB hard disk along with their Killer DoubleShot Pro Wi-Fi tech for lag free gaming. Two higher specced configurations will appear in Q1 2017 though no price has been announced as yet. One comes with an Intel Core i5,8GB RAM, a 1TB hard disk and a GTX 1050i GPU. Another comes with an Intel Core i7 processor, 8GB RAM, a 2TB hard disk paired with a 256GB SSD and a GTX 1070 GPU.
Externally, the chassis comes with a carrying handle and a matte black finish. The whole affair weighs 7.4kg and retails for RM6,099 and up depending on configuration and what you trick it out with.
Also making an appearance is Lenovo’s larger IdeaCentre Y900 gaming rig that has an Intel Core-i7 6700K 4.2Ghz processor, 8GB RAM, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX1070 GPU, a 2TB hard disk and a DVD drive for RM6,799.
The IdeaPad Y700 gaming rig sports a 15.6-inch 1080P display, an Intel Core-i7 6700HQ processor, 4GB RAM, a 1TB hard disk and NVIDIA GeForce GTX960M graphics.
Lenovo today also announced a partnership with Microsoft as platinum sponsors for the ESL One Genting DOTA 2 tournament.
