Magic the Gathering Tarkir: Dragonstorm expansion dials dragons to 11

If you love dragons in every form, shape and fashion, you’ll definitely love Magic the Gathering’s latest expansion Tarkir: Dragonstorm which revisits the draconic plane of Tarkir which features – you guessed it- a ton of draconic themed spells, creatures and more.

The Tarkir: Dragonstorm expansion adds new Dragon cards and dragon-themed abilities that include Dragonstorm enchantments that let you return the card to your hard for recasting if you play a dragon, Omens that let you cast a small spell to reshuffle the card back into your library or call in a Dragon. You also naturally get Borderless Reversible cards that feature a cute chibi and full-on nightmare version of a dragon creature, Fetch lands and a sweet set of Full-Art basic lands that have exquisite art.

The new set also brings back the five clans of Tarkir, each with their own specialty and combination of three colour summon costs  – the Abzan, the Jeskai, the Sultai, the Mardu and the Temur that fit into most play styles. To explore this, the set also has five new Commander decks with each one featuring a Tarkir clan leader and a Spirit Dragon for immediate deployment straight out of the box in Commander matches.

Of greater interest to collectors is the inclusion of new relics to collect including the Mox Jasper that comes in Regular, Draconic and serialised versions of which only 500 exist. The first two variants can be found in Play Boosters and Collector Boosters while serialised versions can be found in Collectors Boosters only.
