Oppo A6 Pro 5G launched in Malaysia priced at RM1,199

Oppo A6 Pro 5G Specs
The successor to the Oppo A5 Pro 5G launched earlier this year, the Oppo A6 Pro 5G is particularly appealing on account of its durability as the phone has an IP69, IP68 and IP66 rating for water and dust resistance as well as military-grade shock resistance on account of a robust shock-absorbing chassis that weighs just 185g.
As a testament to its durability Oppo had two strapping firemen weighing a collective 190 kilos to stand on top of the A6 Pro 5G which emerged unscathed.
The phone also ships with a shock-resistant casing along with a bundled 80W SUPERVOOC wired charger which adds substantially to its value.
In terms of hardware, the Oppo A6 Pro 5G features a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor paired with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM with 8GB of RAM Expansion virtual RAM off the onboard 256GB of UFS 2.2 onboard storage.
For Malaysia, this is the only storage/RAM configuration available. Running under the hood is Android 15 overlaid by their own ColorOS 15 firmware.
Up front, the phone comes with a 6.57-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 1,400 nits peak brightness in high brightness mode and up to 120Hz refresh rate. The phone also has a SuperCool VC system which ensures that it can offer smooth use even under heavy extended usage scenarios like gaming.
For imaging duties, the rear comes with a rear 50MP f/1.8 camera with autofocus as well as a 2MP monochrome sensor riding shotgun.
Up front, the phone has a single 16MP f/2.4 selfie camera. Keeping the phone powered is an absolutely massive 6,500mAh battery with 80W SUPERVOOC fast wired charging.
