Oppo A96 with 6.5-inch 90Hz display launches in Malaysia at RM1,299 with RM498 preorder free gifts
Oppo Malaysia has added another midrange A series phone to their lineup dubbed the Oppo A96 which is priced at RM1,299 with RM498 in free gifts for their preorder programme which commences today and is ongoing till 22nd April 2022.

In terms of hardware, the Oppo A96 comes in a 6.59-inch LCD FHD+ touchscreen with a 180Hz touch sampling rate and a 90Hz refresh rate and a 90.8% screen-to-body ratio on account of its slim bezels. Belying its price point, the Oppo A96 actually comes with stereo speakers with Dirac HD Audio tech for better sound.
The hardware under the hood consists of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 octacore processor paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB of expandable storage with support for a microSD card. Of note here is the option for the phone to use existing onboard storage to have up to 5GB of virtual RAM which augments its multitasking capabilities by quite a bit. Connectivity here is capped at 4G LTE and WiFi 5.
To capture snaps and video, the rear features a dual camera setup which consists of a 50MP F/18 camera with a 5P lens and a secondary 2MP F/2.4 bokeh camera. The front features a 16MP F/2.0 camera for mugshots. Keeping it powered is a 5,000mAh battery with 33W SuperVOOC fast charging support.
