It has become a tradition now with Samsung that every new generation of their flagship phones comes with a new Over the Horizon ringtone done up in a new thematic style while retaining the same familiar six-note refrain. For the Over the Horizon 2020 ringtone, Samsung has gone back to nature in a big way indeed.

The latest take on Over the Horizon uses a series of monochords in several natural locations like rivers and streams to trigger the monochords while accompanied by the sound of running water and chirping birds while keeping the electronic sounds to a tasteful minimum.

It’s surprisingly relaxing indeed and something you ought to listen to in its entirety to fully appreciate the craftsmanship evolved. As far as themes go, this may be the most relaxing ringtone yet from the brand.

In Over the Horizon 2018, they went for a classical feel by getting Icelandic composer Pétur Jónsson to craft a piano solo while in Over the Horizon 2019, they went for a full-on classical makeover with a classical orchestral theme embellished with the soothing sounds of the ocean.
