Super slim Predator Triton 500 SE with RTX3080 GPU launched in Malaysia from RM8,999

When it comes to gaming laptops, it’s rarely the case that the words powerful and slim appear in the same sentence along with any mention of it but the Predator Triton 500 SE looks set to buck that trend as it’s only 19.6mm thin but is also equipped for some hefty triple-A gaming too when it officially arrives in Malaysia in the near future.

The Predator Triton 500 SE will come with a top of the line 16-inch IPS display with 2,560 x 1,600 resolution, a 165Hz refresh rate and a tall 16:10 aspect ratio. Under the hood, it comes with an Intel Core i9-11900H processor paired with 32GB RAM and a powerful  NVIDIA RTX 3080GPU along with 1TB PCIe NVMe Gen 4 SSD. What makes this all the more impressive is that it’s just 19.9mm slim while weighing 2.4kg.

The super slim Predator Triton 500 SE packs RTX 3080 graphics and a princely RM12,999 price tag. Assuming you’re not as well-heeled, you can opt for the slightly lower-specced variant of the Triton 500 SE that has much of the same hardware but uses a cheaper Intel Core i7-11800H CPU, an RTX 3070 GPU and 16GB DDR4 RAM for RM8,999.

Acer has also released the massive Predator Helios 500 which comes in two variants. The top of the line version features a 17.3-inch 4K mini-LED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, an Intel Core i9-11980HK processor, a staggering 64GB RAM, a 2TB PCIe NVMe Gen 4 SSD and a beefy NVIDIA GeForce RTX3080 GPU with 16GB GDDR6 VRAM. All this clocks in at a terrifying RM19,999. 

A cheaper version costing RM13,999  is available with a 17.3-inch Full HD 360Hz display, an Intel Core i7-11800H PU, 32GB RAM, a 1TB PCIe NVME Gen 4 SSD and a respectable NVIDIA GeForce RTX3080 GPU with 8GB GDDR6 VRAM.
